I've found my appetite for food to be very strange compared to my friends and most people. which might explain my weight.

Lets say they can finish a whole dish of pasta/lasagna, i eat half or 3/4 and im full. and other times i dont have the appetite for food so i take a long time to finish it.

There were a few dates ive been on in the past where i order some appetizers for us both, the date either eats more than me or i appear to not like the food and eat it slowly. when in fact i dont have the appetite to eat it....i dont know if my taste buds are fvcked up or my stomach or some ****. But i know that i made bad impressions on these dates.

It's been a long while since i took a girl out. And i fear the same **** will happen again which will give her a bad impression of me.

i dunno maybe i should see a doctor or some ****, but doubt he can help.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Hey bro, the last thing you need to worry about on a date is how much you eat. I go out with plenty of super skinny girls that absolutely gorge at the dinner table because they cant talk with food in their mouth and they dont want to risk saying the wrong thing, so they just never stop eating. Thats why I don't goto all you can eat places anymore. Somehow watching some crack-head looking girl finish 3 plates is just WRONG.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I'm the same way!

I'm like 167 pounds on a 6'2" frame, 7% body fat. I'd weight less if I didn't pump iron. I look great and am very proud of my chiseled body.

I can't eat much either. Restaurant food in particular. It's just so unwholesome, even the best of it. Chefs use fat indiscriminately in order to make food taste better. You order a steak with steamed vegetables, and they pour some melted butter over the fwcking things. Order a ceasar salad, and they put in the fwcking dressing for you, tons of it, and toss it, if you forget to tell them.

I cook lean for myself. When I prepare meat, I use a non-stick frying pan with no oil or fat. I don't put anything on vegetables. Mostly just good carbs like brown rice, quinoa, oat meal. The occasional pasta. Tuna, salmon. Some peanut butter and eggs for fat and protein. I time my intake of carbs with exercise. I know when my body is low on glycogen, and so whatever starch I take in will refuel the muscle tissue.

You know, I like it when I eat less than the chick. It doesn't make a bad impression of me; at worst it makes her feel self-conscious for being a pig! There she is, a good portion of a foot shorter than me and lighter, yet eating more. It hammers the point across that I'm a fit, lean, athletic guy who takes care of himself and who has self-restraint. I'm setting a good example for everyone around me.

I make a point of saying, ``That's enough for me; I could eat more but I'm sure that my body is fully fueled already.'' and then leave a whole lot on the plate.

I don't want it to look like I have low appetite, but that I have iron-clad self-control. I'm a man who can say no to food when I want to, and by implication sex, etc.

Subconsciously, a new woman will evaluate your love-making by how you eat: if you eat fast and stuff yourself, versus taking your time to taste everything. You get the picture!

So that may be something for you to try. Don't pick at the food like you have low appetite due to being skinny (and by implication weak!). Make it look like you could go on eating, but are choosing to stop. Create the impression that your body is the result of hard discipline in exercise and diet. Mention that here and there; that you work out seriously, and watch what you eat.

I'm one of these types of people, I'm going on some sort of journey, a test or a date, my digestive system shuts down for 3-4 hours. It's not controllable, food just sticks in my gullet.

I think it's fair to say, the general impression of men is that they are manly if they eat large platefuls of food, what a man eh?

So now I pre-empt any food related engagement with a new lady.

i talk about people who are in control of themselves enjoy and savour their food. That most people don't have the self discipline to control their urges blah blah blah. It may seem a bit anal and anerexic but it gets me off the hook and changes the frame of being a poor eater under pressure.

I'm 6'1" 185 lbs and I'm about 9% body fat, but trust me I look great.

Sometimes I force myself to eat a little bit more then normal. Sometimes I find myself going full days eating little more then chips and salsa or a medium sized salad.

It's very important to watch what you eat but since each of us has different body types and what not, each of us should have a diet that is consistant with that body type.

Me I've been around six feet since I was in seventh grade (if you can't tell from my age that was quite some time ago) since I've been so tall for so long, and years of football work outs caused my weight to go up and down over the last 10+ plus years, I've learned about what weight looks best on me and what i need to eat or not eat to keep myself in that position.

In our developed countries, we eat more in one day then a great deal of people in the world will eat in a week. This does not mean that we should eat less, just eat smarter. You can go out and eat but you should monitor what you eat and realize the effect it has on your body. You should also couple that with infeaquent doctors appointments to see how your heart is reacting to foods over longer stretches.

If you have problems eating on dates, you should not be to worried, just tell your date that you don't usually eat all that much food. You can also ask your waitress for smaller portions if you feel like your embarassing yourself, its not such a bad request since they're going to charge you the same amount of money anyway. Don't worry about it if your date eats more then you it's not that big of a deal. I didn't finish my tuna sandwich last night even though it was the only real meal I had had all day, but i also knew I was going to be drinking later, and I could make up the calories that way. My date didn't seem to mind and and she kind of appreciated that I wasn't a pig too so there you go.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I thought I was the only one with this problem of lack of appetite.

A man that has a fast metabolism is supposed to have more appetite than the average person. It´s simply something I don´t understand. Maybe it has psychological reasons for that...

If you're intending to go out on a date with a hottie, you will feel kind of nervous beforehand if you're like most guys. Your stomach will churn. Best not to eat a big lunch. Try to empty your bowels several times if you can. (You don't want to have a Big D attack while you're with her. No gal wants to wait outside the bathroom for a dude who had to scurry to the boys' room.)

If you're in a restaurant with her, order something that won't bloat you or will give you gas or the runs. Avoid cabbage, broccoli, beets, mash potatoes, gravy, roast meat (slows your reflexes and lulls you into a sleepy stupor), etc. Don't order what she ordered. Do order a dish such as slightly grilled perch or poached filet of sole. Safe dishes that gives you energy, won't build up gas and won't have you wishing you had Immodim AD.

yea that happens to me too. And i know its a problem because I am consious of it. But I make it known before hand that I only like a handful of things and don't usually eat very much. But what I also like to do is, having her know i don't like many foods, I try something new. Trying something new, I think, makes you seem like more of a risk-taker. Girls seem to like that. Plus girls seem to like guys who have eclectic taste and dabble in this and that (i dont understand that, btw) so you can play to that as well. And then, when and if you don't eat much, you can say that you enjoyed it but it wasn't for you and maybe you can laugh about it. That usually works out best for me.

Also I try not to eat alot before the meal so that I'll eat whatever is put in front of me, lol.

thx for the replies. have any of you with appetite problems seen teh doctor or found the cause of it...did he ever give you reasons for it or specific eating strategies that improve appetite?

Good tip, never realized thats how some women actually think.

nope i never pick at food, i just eat slow as fvck cause either i may not have the appetite or get full easily.

yea either there some **** messed up with my digestive system or i have a highly specific subconscious desire for certain tastes in my food.

Yes that is a very general imppresion of men that eat a lot. Which puts me in a very bad position. When i got out and eat with friends, theyre watching me eat, or waiting for me to finish up....its just messed up.

A man that has a fast metabolism is supposed to have more appetite than the average person.
actually i have a friend taht has high metabolism, he can eat a lot, yet he still remains skinny. I dunno if i have high metabolism, but i know certain people have different reactions to food. some people gain easily and some people gain harder.

nope thats not it, i just believe to have a apetite problem in general.
Good point, i'll keep that in mind about certain dishes.

Also I try not to eat alot before the meal so that I'll eat whatever is put in front of me, lol.
that sounds helpful ill keep that in mind.
