"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I've known this girl for about a year now, and am now taking her to the formal. However when I knew her I was pretty shy, so I didn’t use any form of kino or flirting. However I am more experienced (since finding this website). I can flirt and use kino on other girls no worries, however, with this chick I can’t, because I have always treated her the same – no contact. It’s weird. We are both shy around each other, yet, we can both flirt with other members of the opposite sex fine. So obviously, I need to do something to break the ice. But what? I’m so nervous around her, and I have no idea why, because other chicks are fine around me. We don’t even hug. The only 2 times we’ve hugged was when she initiated it and I acted so spun out by it that she felt embarrassed and learned not to do it again :(. When I asked her to the formal I gave her a flower, and she said yes. Then when I left I couldn’t even build up the courage to hug her goodbye, but instead put my hand on her shoulder as I left. *shakes head* worst kino move ever …
Now heres another problem, my friend, has asked someone else to the formal, but doesn’t talk with her ever pretty much. But is instead interested in my girl. Problem is, this guy is DJ. He uses kino like every 5 seconds, the whole lunch times he’s massaging her back (I know how dangerous this is), got his arm around her, poking her in the stomach, whatever kino mentionable.. he does it. And overuses it a lot. Sometimes she is struggling to get away from him, and says he is “annoying”. But she is warming up to him, and admits she doesn’t find him “weird” anymore.
So I have some questions. When he’s sitting they’re massaging her back at lunch, and she’s giving him all the attention and flirting etc. What should I do? I want to say to him, “hey mate why don’t you go flirt with your own girl” but obviously I can’t because that’s too obnoxious. Any hints I should give that shows I’m not ok with that? Should I just get up and walk away?
Also, how can I start to use kino on her in a way that’s not weird, and simple copying my friend?
Thanks for reading

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Yeah, standing up to face this guy will do you wrong. It's time to step up your own game. Not in the cafeteria or in the classroom, but outside, on walks and whatnot. You're going to initiate kino but you're going to have to do it better than anyone has ever done it to her. Practice on the chicks that are comfortable with you. It's not only about the kino remember that. There's a difference between massaging a chick and sexually massaging her. The point you're trying to get to is obviously her seeing you as more than just a friend so you're going to need to overstep your current boundaries.

You guys being able to do whatever with anyone but yourselves is a clear sign of interest on both parts. You will risk screwing up but it may yet be worth it.

Good luck.

Sarcasm?

Well today was really crap. We're in exam block, and we met up after first exam was over, we had about 2hrs to kill.
The whole time I'm with her shes complaining that shes bored, and wondering when my friend (I'll call him Jake) is gunna finish his drama assessment. So we are waiting outside the drama room waiting for Jake to come out. Shes not interested in me, keeps complaining saying, "aww come on! Whens Jakie-poo gunna finish!" (what do I do when she says this?) This pissed me off the more she said it. She said, "yeah sorry its just, I'm bored and Jakes a pretty funny guy, you've gotta admit. He entertains me". By doing what? Poking you and ****? Whatever pushes your buttons dear ...
Anyway, when Jake finally comes out of room shes all happy and sparky to see him, and low and behold, she wrote him a letter (note: shes never written me a letter ever). She said she was bored in study class so she thought she'd write him a letter.
...nice.
Then we spent about an hour waiting for our parents to pick us up, during which her, and Jake flirted continously. Jake also has a way of shutting me out of conversations, by sitting in between me and her, and turning his back on me so I can't add to the conversation. This pissed me off even more. I'm starting to wish I hadn't asked her to the formal, at least then I could walk away from this mess.
I really need some help. Her interest level in Jake is rising at an amazing rate. ie. a week ago she thought he was weird and annoying
If this continues, by the end of the year, her and I will be distant and the formal will be really awkward. Please help.
Thanks

No I wasn't sarcastic.

You've got to quit looking at it like a loser and start looking at it like a ****ing DJ.

I see this situation and I think "Nothing I can't handle". What are the chances this guy puts a move on her if he already hasn't? What are the chances he beats me to it anyways?

Look, step up your game. Forget how far they are getting, it's not about them. It's about you and how far you're getting and so far, you've gotten nowhere.

You want her? go get her. Quit lamenting your situation. It's not half bad.

As for her comments, google "boredom quotes". I've used a few to shut girls up in the past. She tells you about jakiepoo one more time you tell her to kindly keep such thoughts to yourself cause you don't give a fvck. Don't be agressive or you'll come out looking like a chump.

*looks at computer in amazement* YOU SOUND LIKE ME! Ah...well...here it goes...
you need to stop worrying about her, and flirt with OTHER GIRLS. Try to, IN FRONT OF HER. This will make her want you more. You need to start not caring. It's not the end of the world, youre in high school. (as am i)

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
