"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

She keeps telling me I do nothing for us to get married.

She wants me to basically lick her parent's asses to let me marry her because I'm Indian and they're Pakistani.

I said I'll marry you but I'm not sucking up to them and you should just marry me on your own. She says no, not much explanation as to why. I tell her when you're married to me you're not holding on to them and their culture either, you would be my wife, she says ok to that, but supposedly I've to suck up to them now.

I am happy the way things are personally. I'm not against marrying this girl but I will not suck up. Besides how long will her parents be awkward for, eventually they will give in. So, I'm fine but the fights are becoming ridiculous.

She says its my fault and I do nothing, I do what any normal guy would but some of her parents comments are just ridiculous, which I won't state in public, but anyone would consider them absurd. I don't care Im marrying the girl not the parents so they can say what they like, obviously I won't be talking to them once married thats for sure.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

It might be hard for us to say, due to some cultural differences, but if you find the fights and ultimatums are already too much, just think what marriage will be like.

If you feel fine with the way things are right now, you probably don't have much interest in getting married yet.

"I'm not against marrying this girl..." doesn't really convey that you're taking it seriously.

Considering the historical differences between your two cultures/countries, I definitely understand your position.

OP, if it was me, Id definitely be very upfront and honest with her parents, while remaining respectful. No ass kissing, just frank discussion, and letting them know that if I choose to marry their daughter, its because its on my terms and based on our feelings for each other.

If they wanna interfere or have me lick boot in order to marry her, then either the girl would have to put her parents in check...or I would be walking away. Shes an adult...she should be able to do what she wants for herself, without her folks interfering or causing any problems.

If I don't want to get married yet, until her parents settle down, how can I stop her from driving me insane with these fights?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
