i can get a girl without a problem but i cannot keep a girlfriend. my longest relationship that i've had is 2 months. i could play the role of a player all my life but i really do want a relationship as corny as that may sound. anyone got some advice on how to be a good boyfriend or how to keep a girlfriend. also i know its a longshot but any advice on how to not have to make a relationship work after so long, that it should just ok all the time would be appreciated.

1) Communication with each other is the key... LISTEN well and look for the signs
2) Dont talk and see each other too much too soon - you'll burn each other out
3) Develop a trust with her
4) Dont try to top her off every time she wants to go out with friends
5) Always keep an upbeat attitude
6) know when her period is ...
7) Maintain your cool when she picks up the phone and talks to other guys in front of you - its hard , but if you dont its insecure
8) MAKE her a bit jealous
9) Never give advice
10) dont get too insecure around ex's and old guy friends - they love to throw it right back in your face and try to f*ck the relationship up - DONT let them win - maintain your cool

Ah yes, finally someone looking to keep their girl! I ranted about this last night, about how this forum really lacks in the area of keeping women.
I think that other than some general advice like "don't be a jerk" and stuff like that you probably won't find what you're looking for here.
But this thread should be interesting. I think the DJs who have mastered the art of picking up women should start thinking up ways to keep them...

- You cant change her attitude towards you
- If she gets bi***y with you then cut the convo short and leave or get off phone
- ALWAYS continue to maintain a BUSY life , dont always tell her that you want to see her even though ur not busy .... makes you look like a bore

alright i also got one more question that happened in my last relationship.. (this is a true story as farfetched as it sounds). a few days after me and my latest g/f started going out i went over to hang out with her. 2 of her friends were there with her including the girl i lost my virginity to.
anyways, the girls im attracted to are wild party girls and thats exactly how these three girls were. now, they would make out with each other and grind each other at our parties and sh*t but never anything further than that.
me and this girl had already started dating and made our relationship official. now being a guy, of course i didn't want to stop what they were about to do . the girl i lost my virginity to suggested they take their "experiments" to the next level and before long they were eating each other out. all i could was just stand there while they had all the fun on the bed. now as much as i would have liked to have joined them i wasnt sure if it would offend my g/f because earlier that night the 3rd girl suggested we have a threesome and my g/f told her no.
although i was one of the luckiest guys in the world that night, i really wanted to join them and when u think about it wasn't my g/f sort of cheating on me?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Observation
When you spend significant time trying to be a player, you are optimizing your game for STR. You are trying to sweep her off her feet fast, and you're trying to get the fclose. This is vastly different than what seems to work best for LTR.
I am in the same boat. I can get girls and I can often get the fclose. However, after a while the relationships start to loose their fizzile. I am normally the one who does the dumping as of late.
Remember, that as a player, the girls you were selecting may not be the best for LTR. I think in order to go from being a major player to a person seeking a LTR, there is going to be a whole conditioning and retraining phase. Ultimately, the sad part is that you will succeed. In 2 years or so, when you're tied down with kids, a boring job, a sexless marriage, and the constant threat of alimony/child support, you'll be wishing you hadn't.
