What's your opinion on the world's most talked about life partnership? Is it something you see in the people around you?
Personally, seeing women taking care of their husbands by cooking and always worrying about cooking for them (as if they were their children, or even their own children) makes me strongly suspect they also do the latter very diligently.
Women take it seriously, as a duty.
They can truly f0ck a man for what he provides, and women will do that on a "performance" level, and not desire it at the same time.

And us men, cannot really distinguish between that being a genuine or performative act

The words come later. The impression comes first.

She is still exclusive to him. Does it really matter?
