As far as song writing Canibus is one of the best ever. As for actual battling he got destroyed by Dizaster a mediocre but popular battle rapper and had to pull out a notepad.

Biggest letdown since Mike Tyson vs. Buster Douglas. (It was that bad.)

And there are several battler rappers out now who though can't make good songs for sht but would destroy Canibus in battle rap now.

As for music?

There are tons of non-pop rappers out there with great music and lyrics. Tons.

I saw the Dizaster fiasco and I really think it's meaningless. Canibus was angry and he didn't care. By this point in time it doesn't matter anymore. Canibus has already cemented himself in the hall of fame. F/ck Dizaster what has he done?

Canibus killed LL Cool J in 98 with his diss track and LL paid off the industry to ignore Canibus. I can't stand LL Cool Gay. You telling me Canibus didn't win that battle?

I woudn't care if Canibus grabbed that notepad and announced he was a gay transvestite. The man has done so much good for rap that is all that matters. When he is dead he will be finally realized as one of the best ever.

He is basically retired now he says he has 1 last album but it never dropped. Plus he showed up to that battle in a sling he was probably f/cked up on painkillers and weed. I don't think he cares anymore about battling. It's not like he grabbed the notepad right away it was the 3rd or 4th round and I think he won the previous rounds.
