"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I was talking to my long time *girl* friend the other night. I told her that I got my invitation to my 20 year class reunion(Yes, Im 37 years old...lol) . She said she was nt going to go to hers, but asked to go as my escort to mine in the summer. Anything to make out of this or am I over reading into it?

Just curious..

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Said she doesnt like her home town and to be frank. Doesnt want them to know she still lives there. She is wanting to move to California and does want me to move there as well. I had pretty much gave up any hope that our friendship would ever blossum to anything more and was accepting "Just Friends". This caught me by total surprise.

I wouldn't put much stock into stuff like that.

Sometimes women will throw sh!t like that out there just to reel you back in a little. Sometimes they slip up and agree to something without realizing that you might take it the wrong way.

Ok first.

Background.

Why have you given up, what as gone in the past, that made you give up, or what i am trying to get at, did you make any advances towards her in the past.

I do know once you enter the friend zone its like a no return, no mans land, normally, but there are exeptions to the rule.

Now sorry i dont mean to be mean to you or pull you up, but why did you accept friend zone in the first place?

Regardless of this one women, i.e oneitus or some other random stuff, it seems you require some work if your slotting into friendzone status and i quote 'i have given up and almost accepted friend zone'.

That to me sounds like words from a chump dude, i cant get the women so i will be happy being her friend even though i secretly want more.

To me that is a very bad place to be in, now why would you do it?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Yo Jonwon,

Glad to see ya back at headquarters dropping knowledge, dude.lol

And to Leeman:

Everything that Jonwon has already said, AND----here's an idea. Try bringing up the subject of the highschool reunion thing again as soon as possible. Only this time, if she chimes in about wanting to be your date, you say something like:

"Well, that's cool, but I gotta tell ya that my date for the highschool reunion has got to be smokin' hot and damm good in bed. I ain't takin' no half steppin'. And I'm holdin' auditions for that position starting NOW. You interested?"

Then...shut up and watch her stutter, squirm, buck her eyes in shock----OR, get ready for the detonation of an all out SEX BOMB!

Either way, you'll have your answers as to how serious this chick is, whether she really has some attraction towards you, or is just trying to use you for a fun night out while planning to continue to keep her pussssy to herself.

March on.

This is too vague, I wouldn't build my hopes up. If you go to your highschool reunion and hope to score on that same day it will probably not going to happen with this current situation. You said your reunion in the summer? well you got about 3-4 months to go, why don't you ask her out for something small such as coffee and then build and gauge interest from there and see whether or not she is worthy to actually accompony you to the highschool reunion (what I mean by worthy is that by the time your highschool reunion comes around you are already nailing her on a regular basis otherwise you will look like a fool walking in there with a woman who you never slept with and people in your reunion would wonder why you brought her and if you are gay or something.). For all you know she could be bored and just using you as social proof and a free ride to get to know other men and have her own fun.

I wouldn't assume anything one way or the other. If no hotter prospect comes along, the best thing to do is not overthink it, run with it, have fun, and see where things go.

Wow you have a date lined up for this summer! That's awesome dude!!

No seriously, I'm just bustin your balls. I wouldn't read into this at all - she said she would go with you, girls are perfectly fine with going somewhere with guys just as friends and it's 99% likely that is what she's doing.

Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it. I asked a friend of mine at work this same question today. He thought she was playing me. Only thing is I dont see her being that way because of how well we know each other. We went on a date back in October last year as friends and had a great time. (my down fall was we went to a bar and she was hinting to dance and I woosed out. I dance like on HITCH) As far as the reunion goes, I didnt ask if she wanted to go with me. She basically made it clear that she was interested in going. I was just curious. She knew I had a crush on her in college(I was very overweight to anwer how I got into the friend zone back then). Althought I still have a spare tire Im working off. I am in the best shape of my life physically and mentally. I consider myself a good looking guy, but still lacking in social confidence from all the "low esteem years"

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
