"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

After a while, I realize that the only thing that I have control over is my own action (maybe even not).

When I actually think about it, there are too many variables, that I can never consider, which will affect the consequences of my own actions.

I see that the best thing I can do for people and myself is to be responsible for myself only (physically and spiritually), and most importantly, do not take responsible for others, because I never can.

When I truly care about my own self, I know that I do not bother about money, status or any other superficial things. I just do my best to take care of my own health and do only the things that will give me the best feeling at the moment. I am humble enough to know that I cannot control anyone's lives with my action (even when it seems like that, its not).

People who are being arrogant are those who think they can change others' lives by doing good things for others. Even when the intention of their action is only to help others, there is an internal arrogant that they can affect others' lives the way they want.

With this way of thinking, I realize that Anti Dump Machine is the best guide in this site in the sense that I am humble enough to know that I can never control women the way I want, and its not that I am the prize but I am nothing at all.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Very philosophical but yes, I suppose there is truth to that. I know when I was younger I'd beat myself up a lot when I couldn't influence a certain situation to happen in my favour. Sometimes you just have to accept that there are factors you can't control and just move on..

What I realize is that a set of rules like Anti-dump Machine can be operated with 2 ways of thinking. Both would work but one will strengthen my ego and turn me into an arrogant prick, while the other can give me the peace of mind.
