"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

.... that I just screwed myself over by acting like a stereotypical AFC. I met this girl (HB 7) who was showing me high IL. At first I wasn't sure if she was really into me because she seemed to flirt with a lot of guys but I could tell she was directing most of her attention towards me. So yesterday I invited her to go for a hike with a couple other people I was going with. We had fun and she was holding my hand most of the time we were there. Later
she and some of her friends came to my place (a suite, I'm in college) and there was lot of kino going on between us, but we didnt really have any time alone till everyone left and by then we were tired and I came down with a major case of the wussiness.
Today she came over to my room and we watched a movie, there was a lotta kino going on, and we were lying next to each other on my bed. (Yes I know, obvious fvcking signals, I am such a retard). Yet something inside me froze every time I started to move in for a kiss. No matter what I told myself, I couldnt man up and just do it.
Finally as she was about to leave something in me just snapped and said fvck it all and I stopped her and gave her a kiss on the lips. It was pretty quick, (no tongue) and she left after it. (So basically I fvcked up the kiss). The only good thing that I can take from this experience is that I actually went for the kiss.
Its funny how when you read posts you can always tell when someone lost his chance with a girl, but when it actually happens to you, you still think you have a chance. So I guess what Im looking for is a smack to wake me up from this oneitis I developed or if anyone thinks I still have a chance, some suggestions on what to do.

Btw, This is my first time posting but I've been reading the forums for a while now. As bad as my state of affairs is now, it would be even worse if it hadnt been for sosuave and for all those dj's who took the time to help us dumbass AFC's. Thanks guys.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Sure you got the kiss close, but none of that matters if you didn't create mutual interest using verbals. It's important to not just flirt, but to get her to talk about herself to give the semblance that she is "attracting you back". See if she will follow-up. If not, distance yourself immediately because she will be a typical AW and will only end up psychologically handicapping you. If she follows through, which I doubt she will, make sure to use verbals and get to know each other while creating attraction.
