"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Hey guys. I'm currently dating a HB 8, and things are going pretty well. Except there are somethings that my g/f says that I kind of roll my eyes at, we've only been dating two months, and she won't shutup about how cute I am. Every time I see her all I hear is "you're so hot" or "you're so cute" now i know why women hate hearing this all the time. She really can't become that attatched already can she? I can tell the words "I love you" are only a few weeks away.

One more thing, yesterday she told me a guy friend came over and watched the Superbowl with her, her brother was home, and I actually didn't give a ****, and didn't think anything of it. But as a joke I said "You weren't watching the game, you were probably making out with him!" there was a pause and she got all pissed and just said "No." I told her that I was only kidding, and she needed to relax and then she apologized for being so crabby?

Basically I'm I would like some answers to these questions, why all the compliments all the time? I know she's been cheated on before by her ex-boyfriend, is that supposed to keep me around? Or is this just an act? I've never had a girl cheat on me, (at least that I know of) but how do girls that are cheaters usually act when confronted?

Thanks guys

(P.S. I'm a senior in High School, I posted this in the High School forums too, but I think you guys might be able to help me out too due to your experiences)

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Her constant compliments of you are a sign she is with you because of your looks only, have u ever questioned her and asked her "what about my personality" NOTICE how she hasnt said she loves you yet she brags on about your looks, she is using you to boost her own ego by showing her friends what she HAS, if i were you id dump her or use her, long term relationship- I DONT FORSEE one, she sounds young and very inexperienced and it sounds like you "own" her - well done on that part.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Time to time she does tell me I'm funny, but I never really thought of it that way. You're right though, she never shutsup about how she shows my picture to all her friends. Thanks for the feedback.

Dude, it's obvious. Yes, she has AFC qualities but here's the inside tip; she's afraid of loosing you.

No, it's nothing you've done. You are in the DJ Zone if there was a term for it. You're handling her very well, you aren't acting as if you need her.

She's showering you with complements because it's the AFC thing to do. She thinks that if she does that, it would draw you closer to her. When she told you about watching TV with a guy, you didn't get jealous, you called her on what she hoped you would think. You beat her to the punch, and very well I might add.

In a nutshell, she's becoming a nervous wreck not being certain that you won't walk out on her. You may consider showing her a little more affection every once in a while. Tell her that it bugs you that she constantly complements you. Tell her that you appreciate complements, but her frequent use of them makes her sound insincere. That should make sense to her feeling side.

One good thing about this is that it's readily apparent that she's committed to you. Unfortunately all the over attention can make you feel like you would need to be committed.

Could be your looks are the only, or most important, thing she likes about you. My ex seemed similar...from the beginning she always mentioned how hot she thought I was, how her friends thought that too, and most compliments had something to do with my appearance. Though it's nice to hear, it's insulting if that's the only thing. I think that was an early indicator that our relationship wasn't as deep as I had thought, and why she bolted so quickly as soon as the infatuation wore off.

If she does give you that type of compliment again, I would ask her what other qualities she likes about you. If she hesitates or has trouble coming up with some, I might be concerned.
