"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Ok, You guys finally put enough courage to make an approach. How this happened is I saw the girl but the girl and I got separated when we entered the metro, but rather then letting it go, I sat in front of her, though not letting her of my intent, kept the eye contact out until she started getting off.

First, I asked her name, and introduced myself, I asked her that tough question about "are you single," she replied yes, to that I said ok then give me your MSN, I would like to chat with you to that she said I'm very busy as exams are coming up, and she said she doesn't have MSN, so I said ok then give me your email address, so yes I got her email address but where do I go from here, we talked for some time she's studying same as me, and is coming back to university after getting her master degree. I didn't spent too much time, and I told her about facebook and I wanted to show her of how that works.
I really liked this girl, and would like to make some activity to participate with her, should I email about myself today? She knows almost nothing about myself, so should I send her my Blog, facebook?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

The first part (pre-approach) sounds kinda creepy, to be honest. Remember the three second rule. Not only will it (potentially) negate your own fear, but also it prevents the whole "staring at the girl but not talking to her" deal which, from my personal experience, isn't a good start.

Anyway, just e-mail her, remind her who you are ("The guy on the metro" or whatever) and if there's anything that would be interesting for both of you, depending on what you're both studying, set it up. Coffee works as a last resort--at least she's smart and if you're moderately intelligent and can keep up a conversation, you can at least get to know her a bit and then pull off a change of venue.

Do NOT send her a link to your blog. Facebook is iffy--I wouldn't do it, but that's just me.

By the way, you wouldn't happen to live in Montreal, would you?

First I would like to congradulate you on making an approach it ain't easy but nothing is.

Now you got to tighten your game for the next approaches with the following constractive criticism:

1) Don't ask her if she is single or not. By doing so you are exposing everything and you are in essence putting her on the spot to qualify you without even knowing you. You need to learn how to carry the conversation, throw some C&F, disarm her with your wit and charm and then close the deal. This was to quick, to forceful and not enough to create interest.

2) When a woman gives you the brush off, you don't stand there and give her other options. You were like a pesky fly trying to find different ways of reaching her and her mind ran out of excuses until you settled for her email. Recognise the signs of low interest so next time you won't waste your time.

3) After 5 mins of conversation you already "really like this girl"? but all you got was her email. It can sit there for days without her giving it a look. Next time go for the cell phone number its quick and easy way to talk to someone, anything less and its not good enough. A woman with high interest in a man would give him her phone number and home address while a man she has mild to no interest will only get to sniff her email box or msn with the explanation of "I am busy" "I have a boyfriend" "I don't give my number to strange man because of safety reasons" etc etc etc...

Keep on sarging and take this as a learning experience not a faliure.

I live in Montreal, and for the e-mail thing, it was my doing, as I didn't ask for her number. Right now, exams are coming so even with number I couldn't get anything done, this way I e-mail her and give her time to decide. I still need to learn how to handle phone interaction, and wouldn't have been able to acept rejection on first try.

And about me liking the girl, its just that I pick my target, and she seemed like an intelligent girl, so nothing personal, just something I prefer.
