This is sort of a follow up to the 'Mazal Tov!' post I made earlier, but since the focus is different (and for some reason i can't delete the other post) I'll start anew.

As luck would have it, i was seated next to a pleasant 17-year-old who was maybe a 6 or 7 but had the sweetness and personality to make up for it. As I was leaving, I asked for her number. She didn't seem totally thrilled, and ended up writing her IM screenname for me instead.

Am I reading to much into this? Or should I wait a few days and procede as normal? I am, after all, not the best person at reading body language.

if you asked for her number and she just gave you her AIM sn, then maybe she isn't too comforable with the idea of spending more time with you yet. Unless you'll see her in the future however, i don't see how you have anything to lose by just getting online a little while and appearing to be a funny guy. Also since you're not asking for a date over AIM (God...you better not) then theres no real point in waitin for it. Look down a few threads (it'll be on page 1 or 2) and theres a post on online convos...read it. Good luck,

& she prolly isnt used to having guys ask for her number. She may still be under the "never talk to strangers" rule
