What's up DJ'ers!!!
Quick question for some of my fellow health nuts, is there a sure fire way to jumpstart my metabolism?
Just a quick summary of my current exercise and diet:
1/ Dieting several weeks: So I've reduced my caloric intake (probably too severly) the last several weeks. I've noticed a difference in my waistline (belt notches and pants fit different), the scale and the mirror. All are validating that the diet is taking effect.
2/ Keeping my protein up: I'm still spreading 200g of protein across 6-7 meals a day. It's tough to do, but I don't want to cannibalise my muscle.
3/ Lifting intensely: Still hitting the weights hard 4-5 times a week.
My main goal is to go from 200 lbs (20% body fat) to 174 (10% body fat). I'm currently at 194 after two weeks of dieting.
I feel the diet and exercise routine I'm following is effective, but I'm REALLY worried about shutting down my metabolism. Is there any way that I can ensure I keep my "furnace" burning? Maybe by adding some high intesity cardio (sprints)?
