After having met a lot of guys from the community, I have some basic rules for determining where someone is at:
Worries about how to open == Definitely less than 6 weeks field experience.
Worries about techniques becoming exposed == doesn't understand that all advantages eventually even out. This is an evolutionary principle anyone who has read "the red queen" should understand. All we do is simply create new advantages by observation "in the wild" and field testing. Material continues to work by sheer volume of winning techniques.
Obesses over techniques, body language, or micro elements of a successful PU in a negative fashion that degrades himself or his mates == guy who cannot pull. Sarging is fun, and sure we all want to reverse engineer successful pickups in a positive, productive manner. Haters are guys who cannot pull, so instead they seek to destroy everyones state.
Guys who try to "pull you away from sets" == guy cannot get a set to stick and is scared to approach alone. We are not girls, we do not need to roam in packs.
Wants to look around venue before approaching == tool
picky about sets or claims there is no one worth approaching == approach anxiety/excuser
We really need to start exposing KBJs. Even though it may be obvious to us who these people are, they are very confusing to newcomers who are swamped with information overload. This only adds to the learning curve when they receive bad advice. As always, I am available for anyone on any forum to sarge with. I think we should all lead by example.
Feel free to add to the list.
