Ive come to the realization.....that i am still not yet a DJ.

ive gotten about a half dozen numbers this summer. mostly in the last week of summer classes. that was 3 weeks ago. now that school is back in session (first day of class was today) i have these numbers which i havent called them in 3 weeks.

getting the numbers wasnt hard, but now following up is. what do guys usually do in a follow up phone call? im not sure where to start, i dont want to sound too boring on the phone when trying to follow up with them.

Well...you call her up, and if she answers the phone, then she either hangs up on you, or promises to call you later and never does, or you set up a date for her to cancel the day-of. That's usually how it works.

As you can tell, I'm very bitter, and for some of the same reasons. I'd like to hear input on this question as well.

The only post I ever read was in the Tips Forum It was the "Art of Phone Openers" by mr.Fingers which was good.

For me the hard(er) bit is approaching women. Well done!!

After having a woman (when i was FULLY AFC) that talked for hours on the phone i got really comfortable having conversations on the phone. I never even worry or have a second thought about calling chicks on the phone these days.

Usually with a follow up call, i'd just make general fluff talk and let them know ill "pick them up at 8pm thursday to ..."

Just keep it light, fluff talk, c+f, be yourself - keep it short - make a date. Don't waist too much time making conversation or asking questions, save that for the date.

If you keep it short, it wont get boring.

id figure i just make some fluff talk for now. i cant really ask her out this week b/c ill be heading out of town on thursday for the long weekend.

i guess i can hint of something in the future. what do you guys think?

D: yea, so what have you been up to lately? (fluff talk)
HB: oh a lil of this and that (aka- blah blah blah)
D: well i was callin to make plans so that we could go out
HB: oh, great, sure!
D: aight, how is thursday?
HB: sounds good,
D: ok, then ill talk to you on thurs.
HB: ok
d: bye
