"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I hooked up a single mom. She became a bit obsessed with me, acting like she was the luckiest girl in the world to have me. Constantly complimenting me (even told me my teeth were "cute"), always calling me, wanting me over all the time, introduced me to her son after only knowing me for a couple days, even said she was wet at work all day just thinking about me from the night before. Suddenly, nothing. She knew I had a history with a friend of hers, and she was worried about her friend finding out. She always questioned my feeling for this other girl, and I always told her that I still kinda liked her, but at this point, we're just friends.

Last time I actually saw her, she was giving some mixed singnals after sex (she was into it, I couldn't nut fast enough, she got depressed thinking I wasn't into her... pretty bad night really). She asked me what I wanted, because she's not looking for a boyfriend since the last guy was possessive and wouldn't let her go out with her friends. "Boyfriends suck.". I agreed. Then she said she wishes she would have met me 6 years ago, and that she liked me from the moment she first saw me. WTF?

(side note: after she broke it off with her ex, she moved back home with her parents, so it's not a problem for her to find a sitter, but she works 12 hours a day a lot of the time, so she's usually tired)

Long story short, she's pretty much become a hermit since the other girl found out. She doesn't go out with her friends, she doesn't call me anymore, she usually dodges phone calls when I call (the last time I actually talked to her it was probably only because her son picked up the phone). She pulled some wierd **** last friday, when she called me but I didn't hear it, so I called her back, got nothing, called her house, was told she wasn't home, and texted her a few hours later asking what her deal was. She never got back to me.

My one friend is banging another friend of hers, and he called that girl up the next day to see if she was coming out that night. She said she was trying to get a hold of this chick all day, but she had her cell off and wasn't answing the home phone. So she's avoiding her best friend as well.

Monday I tried calling again. Her dad answered and told me she wasn't feeling well and went to bed. She already used the "I was sick and in bed" act last weekend.

So I'm just gonna wait until the weekend to see if she comes out, or at least give me a call. If it's no dice, I'm moving on. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. It could be any one of a million things not even relating to me.

All I really want to know is what her deal is. I'll be fine with it if she doesn't want to see me anymore, I just want to KNOW that she doesn't want to see me anymore. I could have hooked up with a couple of girls last night, but I'd feel guilty if she really was just sick this whole time.

On an ethic note, would it be wrong of me to hook up with a married chick who doesn't seem too pleased with her husband? I mean, she gave me her number without me even asking last night, and wanted to know where I live. I may as well go for it, right?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

That thread is entertaining and all, but I dunno. Her husband is obviously cheating on her. They don't even seem like a couple. Not that she was complaining about him, but I've heard that he stays out til wierd hours, and whenever she brought up the word marriage (when talking about her friends or whatever getting married), I could just sense the sound of disdain in her voice.

Like usual, I put no effort into this. She came to me. They always come to me.

Plus, she's like 6 years older than me, and I've always wanted to bang and older chick. :woo:

The real burden is the distance. When I told her how far away I lived she recoiled a bit. I guess going back to her place is out of the question.

Anyway, I'm gonna wait it out with this other girl. No hurry. I like her, even though she has a kid. I just can't for the life of me figure out how she could go from worshipping the ground I walk on to completely ignoring/avoiding me. Maybe her friend scared her away. Who knows.
