I was watching this video, and there was one particular comment that motivated me to do this thread:

My grandma passed recently and all her wealth was absorbed from medical and retirement home costs. We got nothing. Same thing will happen when my parents pass. If you don’t have multiple properties to hand down to your kids, it’s over.

People got weak. We are not supposed to live forever. I have noticed there's abundance of initiatives where people try to gather money for experimental curation in Israel or in USA - in particular for cancer treatment - where objectively their chance to get well is below 3-1% - often it is enough for them to spend all their accumulated wealth in the process just to die anyway (2-3 months later than they would?)

Are several months of living in pain worth spending all your wealth that you could transfer to your children? My answer is no - do the math - if it's heavily against you just take the odds as they are Vs reasonable costs. Do not take with you what you can give to your children instead.

I have read about at least several people that gathered USD 1mln for experimental cancer treatment after one or more cancer metastasis... doctors would need to change their professions to magicians to pull them out from it.

Getting an inheritance can help a male seduce more women. It depends on the size of the inheritance and the inheriting male's looks.

Inheritances will help some members of the Millennial generation get pussie. When it helps in the conventional mating market, I suspect it will probably help aging Millennials in the next 10-15 years get pussie from women of a similar age (usually slightly younger) more so than helping an aging Millennial male get pussie from a substantially younger woman. I don't think most Millennial inheritances will be large enough to sway their fortunes in the sexual marketplace.

Millennials have struggled with fewer economic opportunities (graduating during the recessionary period of the late 2000s-early 2010s didn't help). Millennials were the first large generation that had greater sexlessness during their 20s/30s (mostly a male Millennial phenomenon). Now that Millennials are aging (turning 29-44 in 2025), Gen Z has now replaced them as the youngest adults.

Millennials and Gen Z are two essentially lost generations in the USA and in other developed nations.

Millennials will get some inheritances from Boomer privilege, but not all Millennials will get it.
