We all hear this from older posters and it seems reddit, as AFC and whiteknighting as a lot of their members seem to be, also notices it.

Just some comments I picked out:
"I've noticed this too. I figured it is because so many people my age got fat, and I've stayed sorta in shape. I'm not getting more attractive, others are getting uglier."

I was just thinking, does a man's SMV improve because the supply of good men simply goes down? Or is it women hitting a wall looking for someone to settle with? Or is it simply that a man's value measurably increases due to money, social status and blah blah.. What do you guys think?

Although the supply of competition in your age range goes down, you won't be interested in women your age anymore (usually), so you'll be competing against younger men, all the way down to the age where you can't compete.

And while your money and confidence impress young women, don't think they don't rate you just as critically (if not more so).

I've always thought the bold part which is in part why I am investing in myself. To me it always sounded like the same thing women tell each other that they will find a right man eventually..

And bigneil that is a very good point about younger competition.

Between 25-35, you should be at your best to pickup young hot girls 20-25. After that, there are other factors that might help, (although you will have to go for women in late 20´s and 30´s),
1) their body becomes much more flawed, so they will not feel superior to you as they do in their prime.

2) Most guys become bald/fat, so if you stay ok, you will stand out.

3) your value per se, does increase if you are successfull...


Also any guy can have a hot girlfriend, if he has a good social circle, and if he has several opportunities to show his personality if he doesn´t look good.

But for game/being a player, who pulls consistently chicks, sorry but that is for extremely good looking people... Specially in nightclubs, I see ugly older guys, who approach younger girls just being laughed at...

If you were extremely good looking you would know by now, women will look at you like horny dogs... forget about that talk that although you look very good women are not approaching you, or aren´t staring at you in noticable ways....

Also if you are 40+ and you want to score hot chicks who are 35+, you have to become a social beast, in order to pass the low odds of finding one... these women exist, but they are very rare.

Nismo said looks and/or money. The protection guy obviously has looks (in the form of a being big and dominant).

So Nismo is still on target.

Update: I will also add that women soon reach an age where they aren't very attracted to most men their age. Then they do the cougar thing and go for younger guys.

The only thing we usually have as advantage past a certain age is status and money, while you still need muscles to made girls wet, your mercedes will definitely do her parts as much as your armani suit.
I think a charming gentlemen (think of Roger Moore in his last 007 movies where he was 50) definitely has more chances than the average 25 years old guy to get a 25 years old girl.

I agree with this also. A good looking guy is going to get attention, whether he's skinny or bulked up. Besides, most guys I see have what I would call "average builds". They're not really ripped but they're not skinny either. Again, if they're good looking or "cute", they're going to get female attention.

I've always figured I'm about a 7. Girls will look at me and even smile, but they don't approach me. I'm not good looking enough that it helps me, but I'm not so ugly that my looks hurt me. I usually have to win a girl over with my personality (which is pretty funny when I think about, cuz I'm a little on the self centered side - but that's usually what attracts them).

At my age I have no desire to set food in a club lol.

I think that if you have your sh!t together at all, by the time you get to a certain age you're going to have a certain amount of status/financial success, barring some bad luck of course. But I think what attracts girls to older men is the maturity. Like you said, the smooth charming gentlemen.

Compare that to the young guy in his 20s, who is too often like go to the club and get sh@tfaced, drink some brewskies, check out the smoke shows, and hey don't you like my shirt, it rulz!

Yes we all love a younger good looking chick as woman don't age well. but it was a combination of having fun and acting much much younger that I am.
I mess around a lot and play jokes , never take life seriously.

I was also I realise white knighting a lot, so I have now removed this element , and kept the rest.

You are what you are, and I have always gone out and had fun, mucked around, that attracts people to you as they are drawn to someone or a group of people who laugh and look like they are having fun.

I have never been attracted to the older woman. sleeping with someone over 40 would seem really weird to me?

I know for me, when I was younger I wasn't anywhere near as good with women as I am now. Honestly, I think part of it is that, as a guy gets older, he becomes more confident with who he is, what he likes, and what he will and won't tolerate. It's those things that women find attractive, as opposed to a younger guy who is still trying to find himself and just exudes this aura of "I'm not sure of anything yet."

So, it's a mixture of that plus girls getting the realization that they're only to get WORSE with age (while we tend to get more distinguished), and that any so-called "deal breakers" they may have in place may need to be re-analyzed. Real talk: a 30-year old girl on Facebook the other day posted the following status:

"I was just thinking about a guy I was talking to a few years ago that didn't like football. Is it sad that that was a deal breaker for me? *shrugs shoulders*"

Don't know if you said that seriously or as a provocation but your lines actually its a good directive, given the situation you suggest accomplished its a win win situation.
