ISIS is finished, Russian planes leaving Syria

Russian (VKS literally military space force) air force has finished today its mission in Syria. This morning our planes took off from air base in Syria and set their course to Russian air bases. In less than half a year ISIS was exterminated and reduced. What is left of ISIS fled to Turkey and Iraq. From here on Syrian army can handle the situation itself. Syrian people are returning to their homes and rebuilding their lives.

Can anyone informed please compare the military budget spent from NATO vs the one from russian armed forces? Also the time frame.

Im sure there was no willing plan from nato to be ineffective against ISIS, we probably just observed the biggest bad management of resources from our alliance in the century. /sarcasm off

US/NATO/coalition air forces (heh) have zero collateral damage constraints imposed mostly by the US commander and chief. Neither the French nor the Russians gave a crap about those constraints.

NATO forces are 80% USA troops, materiel and funding. It's been that way from inception.

May as well leave the planes on the ground or below decks on the carriers.

The us and turkey funding islamic terrorists (both isis and al nushra which is an al quaeda department) to weaken assad while pretending to fight them while doing **** despite the biggest and most expensive war machine ever built in human history.

Russia coming out of nowhere pretending to reach middle east to fight Isis while in fact doing most of the bombing against nato supported islamists fighting assad and ceasing the operations only once their allied is safe and their main port in the mediterranean sea has been fortified.

But the goebbels prize for propaganda goes to western media painting al nushra which is a renewed version of al quaeda as "freedom fighters", so basically the US have been paying with their tax payers money a group affiliated to those accused to taking down the twin towers just because in this particular moment they were useful against assad.

Thats simply amazing, not even the fake "spontaneous" revolutions in northern africa of the last years managed to reach such a high level of hoax.

What do you mean by this? The reason why the elites are funding these terrorist groups because the elites have been funding both sides of the war since war has been profitable. This is nothing new.

I dont recall any financial elite funding assad nor the SAA, the western money and support were only at the benefit of al nushra (money and weapons openly) and isis itself (oil bought and guns provided from nato members through turkey).

I think that:
- Russia mainly wanted to show the world that they're still a real power (after Obama called them "regional"), and that nothing moves without consulting them first. Not nice, but achieved
- The plan was definitely to help Assad for a bit (and hurt IS only on the side). Now Russia is losing patience with the guy after he announced to hold elections where his rule would be "non-negotiable". By withdrawing, they are forcing him to negotiate.
