Is this what all 20-something HBs are like now?

Long story short I hired a HB7 personal assistant recently. I highly recommend this if you can afford it or need a tax writeoff.

I'm just wondering if this means anything, if this is just how a 24 year old HB7 normally acts? She seems kind of hippy-ish so I am taking it as just being super friendly but was just curious about your opinions.

Day 1: Told me she is in an open relationship with her BF, that she was going on an online date that night, I think she mentioned he set it up for her.

me: Didn't say it but was like why are you telling me, your boss, this on your first day?

Day 2 (today): I gave her something, actually 2 things that I don't even consider that valuable or anything, she was really happy and gave me a big hug and kiss on my cheek.

then after she leaves I get this text:

HB7: Rasta, you are really amazing. I am so happy to be working for you! I hope you like the blah blah food I prepared blah blah. Have a great night!

I don't want to be judgemental, she is actually really cool and helping me a ton. She probably thinks I am a cool boss since I try to keep her job easy as ****, pay better than her other 2 jobs, and she found some pot in my kitchen lol. I'm not going to do anything obviously as that is bad for business, but am wondering your guys take?

No. Sounds like she's totally out of bounds. She may be fun for the tax write-off etc, but I wouldn't trust her with anything remotely business-related.

I had the bright idea of hiring a secretary a couple of years ago. I figured it would take a good bit of work off of me. I was w-r-o-n-g. I sh!t you not when I say that I had the absolute stupidest women apply for the job. Half couldn't speak proper English, the other half wanted to be paid ungodly amounts of money AND have me provide insurance to them for part-time work, and on and on. I finally settled on one girl who I thought I could work with. That didn't last because her boyfriend was a jealous tool and didn't like her working for me and being at my office which is located at my house (even though I'm rarely there while she's working anyways). It was just a big headache. It's too bad you can't openly discriminate against women who are married or in relationships because it would make hiring a decent worker so much easier.

I think I'll just go with trusting my gut and keep it professional (which is easy for me). If she really wants something else she can make the first move and I will probably have to explain that I can't work with people on an intimate basis, so pick the job or me.

As for trusting her with business stuff or fvcking her way to the top that is all irrelevant. I'm a solo small business so there is no upward mobility. The work I provide is so mundane, it is basically my chores that I don't feel like doing myself because they would take time and I am really trying to free up time so I can do things to better myself.

Your secretary wants to get in your pants, my friend. The signs she's sending (kiss on the cheek, saying she's available, cooking for you, giving you compliments) are as far as a girl is going to go before jumping on top of you. Make your own decision and either date her and find another assistant or keep it professional and enjoy the interaction.

Jk...but seriously, no. I am selective about what pickup forums I post on because some turn into an endless whinefest about ZOMG FEMINISM IT'S NOT FAIR, etc. The solution 100% of the time is to up the quality of girls you approach, and up the quality of girls that you keep.

But, back to the topic...I mean I work in finance, and the girls, at least in front office, are just as rowdy as the guys so it's nothing I'm not used to. I'd just maintain professional boundaries, and if she doesn't perform on the job, fire her.

who knows if that is even true but when she mentioned it I think she said because he is always going on dates..so I guess he feels bad or something I dunno. Whole thing seems strange to me lol
