Well there went about umpteen bazillion tax dollars in weapons, vehicles, and helicopters, all of which ISIS now controls and will use against any opponents. They have American-bought uniforms, helmets, and other gear as well. That's US tax dollars at work - buying weapons that end up in the hands of people who want to kill us.

Iraq needs to split three ways - Shia, Sunni, and Kurd. They can each have their own country that ends in stan. Oil companies don't care who controls the territory, just that they sell the oil. ISIS will still sell oil to the Chinese, so even the oil in the most radical muslim territory still goes on the world market. A generation or two from now, kids might read about the "Iraq War" and wonder where it was, because there is no longer such a place.

Most of the dictators they America paint has evil guys, weren't bad at all. America only did that to go to war with these guys cause they had valuable resources.

They killed off khaddfi in Africa, because he was about to back his currency up with gold and oil. America wasn't going to have that cause that African dollar could have put a huge blow to the American dollar.

No matter what you think about how the war started, to give everything back to the terrorists after we've been invested in this deal for 10 years is stupid.

It would be better for Iraq to go the way of Yugoslavia and break up into separate nation states. It is difficult to see religious fanatics and different ethnic groups with rivalries dating back thousands of years being able to get along as one nation.

To be fair, Saddam was our ally prior to the first gulf war. He was our buddy because he had been fighting Iran. It was that, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
