"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Is this rude?

Just curious, im not sure what my opinion on this is myself.

When your with your girfriend and have plans to hang out with friends at a bar (either hers or yours). Is it rude for her and her female friends to drink 4,5,6 mixed drinks, while you and the other girls boyfriends are stuck having only 1 or 2 beers cuz we have to drive them home. Im not stupid i understand most guys do this from time to time, but its becoming a patter with my gf and i hide the fact that im livid inside. Saturday night we met some couple shes friends with who i never met. And she got 2 glasses of wine with dinner beforehand and at the bar she got id say 4 or 5 stoli o's and 7 up. Now that is alot for a girl, so her and her female friend were laughing it up having a great time, while i was talkin to this dude who i never met, compeltely sober. Its just a bummer when the night ends up like that isnt it? Do you guys think thats rude of girls to do that or no? I feel like they should be a little more consideratre and only drink maybe 2 or 3 drinks. I think the heavy drinking should be saved for when everybody can drink, not just the girls. Of course depending on where u live, u may need to drive and cabs can be expensive, so a designated driver is cool. But with couples this isnt always possible, cuz we all live so far away to begin with.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

WHY are they dictating your outings? Grow a spine and put your foot down. Set things based on YOUR priorities once in a while. Otherwise, find a new girl that doesn't turn a blind eye to your happiness.

By the way, this issue runs deeper than the surface. What kind of attitude are you projecting right now? You are projecting an attitude that you're happy just to be with a girl. That is a typical AFC mindset. The only difference is that you have gone farther than the friendzone with this one. Strip that away and you're behaving like a hardcore AFC. You need to work on your confidence and self-esteem so that you don't put up with this BS. So that you're not afraid of losing a girl when you put your foot down. Because believe me, a girl somewhere down the road will eventually call your bluff, so that you have to GENUINELY feel it through real confidence and not rehearsed routines.

I do plan many of our outings, we're 50/50 with that, she comes to my house and chills with my friends and i go to her house and chill with her friends. I live 35 mins away and she comes to see me quite a bit. Im just talkin about when i am out with her and she drinks when i cant. As the guy i am chivalrous and drive as does every other guy i know. it wouldnt make sense if she drove and i got drunk. But i think neither of us should get drunk if we both cant. Tahts my pt, im just referrin to the drinking, not this afc stuff u bring up cuz i really dont think that applies here since we both plan outings equally.

How often does this situation happen? I'm just wondering if you're making this situation sound as if it is a big deal when it only occurs occasionally.

Only when we go out with her friends, which is maybe 25% of our time together, but it happens without fail so i get a lil annoyed.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

yea i shouldnt be complaining i guess. She did offer me road head on the way home lol. I had to refuse cuz i did have 3 beers and if i were to get pulled over, road head woulda have been the least of my probs legal wise. I just get a lil annoyed that shes feelin so "nice" and im so sober. Its nice to be all drunk together in a group, not just some of the people. Cuz ur in 2 diff states of mind and it just aint fun that way. like i said i dont know wat my opinion is on it exactly. The cab thing doesnt usually make sense in our position, given where we live and where our friends live and the bars are, doesnt always lend it self to that. I think its good to hang out with each oithers friends, i amke her hang out with mine and she does with hers, why not. it gets boring just being alone sometimes, its fun to be in a group sometimes.
