Ordered some whey protein, and it tastes like shít. So called 'vanillia flavour' When i mix it with milk, it creates lumps and turns cloudy. With water it aint much better. The taste is bitter and plain. bearing in mind it's a 'natural whey with no artificial flavors etc.

So, my question is: Is this normal, or do i have bad whey?

I've no experience of mixing whey with milk, but whenever I mix my unflavoured stuff with water, it's full of lumps, (they go after you leave it to stand for a while, or shake it up in a water bottle). It tastes like **** though.

Does it smell ok? Is there a BBE date anywhere on the container? Where did you buy it from? Are there any other ingredients apart from the flavour and whey?

You could always try mixing it with cocoa powder. If you put enough in it completely masks the flavour of the whey.

It's Reflex whey, and the BBE date is oct 07, so i think it's fresh.

Leaving it to stand seemed to work, and i'm kind of getting use to taste.

is that All Natural Reflex Whey that costs a bomb? if so yeah, it does taste like ****, and it's perfectly okay.

personally I can't hack ****ty protein powder. ****ty food yeah.. but ****ty whey, no whey.

I buy whey concentrate from trueprotein in 50 lb bags. Unflavored. Then i buy a few different types of flavoring for variety. I'm finding that chocolate is the best and i'm not even a fan of chocolate. Root beer is pretty neat too :p

But anyway lately i've noticed that unflavored whey mixed into milk mostly just tastes like... get ready... milk. It mixes in really easily too.

I've never had a clumping problem with any type of whey i've bought and i just stir with a spoon.
