"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Is this feeling due to my confidence?

Hi all

Although I realize I'm not that bad looking and had my fair bit of attraction from girls, I still can't get over the feeling that it seems they are better than me. I always think "why should they like me, I'm not a good talker and other persons are much more interesting than me".

This also reflects to talking to guys, I want to talk but I don't know about what... It seems like others always have these fantastic stories or know how to tell something in the perfect way. When I say something I immediately feel I tell it in the wrong way.

Next year I'm going to university and due to the many social activities there, I have to change this by then.

So do you guys think it's my confidence or is it something else?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

A lot of females DO give off the "I'm better than you" vibe. Their arrogance and entitlement is real.

But it's how you RESPOND to that that matters.

So yes, it is a confidence issue. You need to not give a F what her hamster brain thinks.

I'm not suggesting you get a huge ego like they have, but to have confidence, you do need to find at least ONE thing that makes you "superior." Or if you don't have one, that's ok for now. Work on getting one.

Are you smart? Are you athletic? Are you a good dancer, guitar player, piano player? Find something you are good at or learn something and get good at it.

That will also solve some of your conversation problem. Have a cool hobby or skill that you can mention. Not from a place of bragging, but from a "I'm passionate about this" angle.

Regardless of your hobby, also get in shape. Girls your age are super shallow when it comes to looks and body.

Ok thanks, glad it has something to do with my confidence.

And "my age", I'm actually 24, the fact I'm going to university at this age is because of studying something else before this and so I'm not 18 :).

Thanks for your response.

SayWhat,

this has a lot to do with your self esteem.
I think it has to do with confidence, but to me, confidence is feeling you can do something reasonably well, because youve done it before, maybe a few times. So you develop confidence because of your previous experience.

But self esteem to me, seems to go a little deeper.
When you talk about how you feel like other people are 'better than you' it appears like its a sign of low self esteem.
You compare yourself to others , and you feel that you come up short.

Building self esteem is not something that is a quick fix.
It has a lot do with how you experienced things at a younger age and how you view yourself now. It also has to do with the perception that you dont have any thing of value or to offer.

One of the main things to start to do is not necessarily work on 'confidence' per se, but to look at what would you feel adds value to your life, and what is it that you can offer to the world.
There should be at least a few things about you that you can offer to people. Whether its being a good listener, or perhaps you tend to be very solution orinted and dont look at things so negatively? Maybe you are a person can feel with empathy for others, and give them advice and maybe you can see their situation..and they feel seen and heard.
There are many things that are a part of YOU, that maybe are not necessarily a SKILL.
But of course, having certain Skills would definitely add more dimension to your self esteem building.
A few skills that you can develop that would greatly add to your self esteem is being a person that takes fitness seriously, and works out regularly. So working out will help you with how you deal with the world, stress, and adaption, but also how you view yourself. You will view yourself as a more capable Man.
Second, is Self Defense. Perhaps starting a self defense program? I highly recommend it. Many people do well with something like Krav Maga. Having confidence you can defend yourself definitely improves your confidence but also builds self esteem.
Why? well, because you deeply FEEL you are WORTH something. You deeply KNOW you are WORTH protecting. You want to live. You want to thrive. You want happiness and fulfillment. So you value the opportunity to attain these things.
So you protect yourSELF so that you CAN achieve them. This is about your perception of your personal WORTH, your Self Esteem.

Some other things could be cooking for yourself well, home repairs savvy, auto maintenance savvy and repairs, etc.

So you can supplement your INNER skills and wisdom, with OUTER skills as well. And you should.

Remember that we all have different views, what you may feel is not worthy to someone, another might feel it is.
We all had different childhoods, and different values.
So if you have a certain mind set change, and work on your inside perception, how YOU look at the world NOW, you will build another 'layer' of strong self esteem, not necessarily EGO, but your own sense of Value.

Good luck.
