Girl (21) tells me that any male friend who has feelings for her but doesn't express them is a liar. He's being a friend under false pretenses. Is this lying?
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.
Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers. Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.
I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
I am 21 and I don't believe it is lying in any sense imaginable. Tell your friend I said she's a moron.Originally posted by RogueWarrior
Well folks, I have interviewed a number of people outside of this forum on the subject. The list of people includes: six women; five of whom are married and one who is a psychiatrist, two men, and my own parents believe it or not. Unanimously, they said that in this case, it is NOT a lie of omission. The reason being that this is an extraordinary case where the person is taking a HUGE risk in telling the other person how they feel. They are risking the friendship and making themselves completely vulnerable so it is only natural to be cautious. Furthermore, it is wholly unfair of the other person to accuse them of lying.
What I personally find very interesting is that every single person who believes this case not to be lying is 35 years old or older. Everyone who does is in their early twenties or younger.
Draw your own conclusions.
Forget the cash, the cars, and the chiseled jawlines. Female desire operates on a completely different frequency. Primal. Subconscious. Triggers that bypass her logic and hit her on a gut level. Most guys are totally blind to them.
I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.
Then I decoded the psychology behind what actually makes women tick. 22 hard rules. Subtle behavioral shifts that rewired my entire reality. The anxiety evaporated. Women started leaning in. Investing. Chasing.
Yeah pretty much.Originally posted by RogueWarrior

Just because it is risky does not make it not a lie.(the people I talked to all feel not telling her) is NOT a lie of omission. The reason being that this is an extraordinary case where the person is taking a HUGE risk in telling the other person how they feel.
Thanks for breaking this down McKindley. This is an excellent definition. This chick I once dated always gave me lies of omission (The lie was either half truth, not the full truth or had a positive spin that made her either the angel in the end of the story or the victim).-Lies of comission are lies wherein you knowingly give someone false information with the intent of decieving them.
-Lies of omission are lies wherein you knowingly leave out pertinent information that could alter a person's perception of a given situation with the intent to decieve.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
