I am in college and have a class in a large lecture hall. Last semester this girl kept trying to talk to me and sit next to me, but I was generally not too receptive to her despite her persistence.

This semester, we are in the same room with fewer people. She has sat next to me every day, even though her other friends sit in other places, and if I move, she moves. I don't have much game, but she generally seems to like being around me...

So, two days ago she shows up with some other dude. Sits next to me, but also with him. (Obviously spinning plates). So, I act like nothing is different...laugh and joke and act like it's normal. She does the same. However, today, she sits on the other side of the room and totally ignores me.

I do the same and pretend like nothing happened. At the end I just leave without trying to talk to her.

Is this a sh** test? I am mildly interested for some reason now, so I am just curious to see if I am being tested. I am generally clueless.

Well. From what you said it sounds like she was trying to get your attention and she wasn't getting it, so it bothered her. So perhaps she was just being a little vindictive and trying to do it back to you. Maybe your interested because now shes not showing interest. Its stupid but the more you tell some one no, the more they want something.

I wouldn't think much more about this man.

Or maybe she was hanging around expecting you to ask her out. You didnt and she found someone who will make a move.

Its possible this is not a mindgame/test just to get into your world, what if she is actually trying to move forward in hers while you sit here wondering where your ***** is at. If I was observing this situation in class I would instantly assume you two are just friends, and maybe catch her after class and ask her out for a vday date if she was cute and let the cards fall where they may. Are you overthinking this? Why do you even care all of a sudden just because your ego took a hit?

My ego is just fine. It was out of the ordinary for her to sit somewhere else, so I was just curious why she did it. It was sudden, so I didn't expect it.

I think you avoided my question as to why you care so much in the first place? Shes not your girlfriend. Enough to start a thread about it. If this girl buys a diet coke instead of the regular as usual do you analyse this as well? Her every move and action is on your radar. Why?

She puts in all the effort where you just sit and watch. If she did nothing as well there wouldnt be much to even talk about here. Accusing her of 'spinning plates' is laughable at best if this girl has been following you around for 2 semesters and you have done nothing in response. In most social venues you dont get more than 30sec of a womens time if your not going to move. Your egos fine my ass, you never risked it in the first place.

To be honest, I dont see how you can turn this around anyway because a sudden change of heart is pretty jaded. I would just ignore/treat as a friend and ask out one of the other girls instead. You have lingered on this for far too long. It will get her hamster spinning I guess, but this couldnt be further from the point.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

First, I think you are attributing too much emotion to my post. Second, I think you are getting a little too worked up over a situation that doesn't actually involve you. So, to that I would say, chill out..

I posted this because I am autistic and am very poor at reading or understanding people in general. I care more about her sitting somewhere else because it directly affects me. Her buying a different soft drink does not. Also, it affects me because I very much like routine, and when that routine is interrupted, my brain does not like it.

Additionally, she did not put in all the effort while I just sat and watched. At least, not this semester. I engaged her as best I could over the last 4-5 weeks. We joked, got more comfortable around each other, and generally enjoyed each other's company. I feel you have a misinterpretation of the situation. Last semester, I was not receptive. This semester, I have been.

Also, there really isn't anything to turn around. As you said, she and I are not dating, not even casually. Generally, I have no interest in dating or asking anyone out. That is why I was surprised that 1. she was so persistent and 2. that I actually started developing attraction to her. I usually don't because I hate dating.

I really was just wondering if this could be a sh** test. Almost in an academic sense.

Also, if I never risked my ego in the first place, this implies that my ego is fine. Because it wasn't risked. Just to clarify.

Sounds like there are bigger problems here that you havent elaborated on.

From an 'academic sense' no this is not a **** test. That would imply there is a relationship about.

It's not a sh*t test per say. Perhaps she's now interested in this other guy and got tired of waiting for you to ask her out or maybe she's just trying to make you a little jealous. Who knows and who cares? If you don't like her, don't waste your time trying to figure her out.

The Viagra Pill you wish you had...- United Kingdo
Dude -

The ?? is do you FOOKING LIKE WHAT YOU SEE OR NOT??

Here's your flowchart for AFC turning non-AFC hopefully:

If YES you like her - then talk to her

If NO then don't post here because we can't help you - we can only help when you like a girl.

After you talk to her

Do you still like her?

If YES then ask her contact info to set up something

If NO then don't post here because we can't help you - we can only help when you like a girl.

McFly... anyone? anyone?.....
