Is this a cool hairstyle for a guy?

I always thought JFK Jr. had cool hair. How do I get my hair like it? I can't get it smooth like that, I always see strands of hair. Does thickness have anything to do with it that cut?

I think the cut looks real classy. Looks like he just grew it out on top, shaved the sides to maybe a 3 or a 4 (faded of course) and threw in some hairspray to perk it up. Then again, I'm no hair stylist

i would say he definitely has thick hair and that's why you don't see his head, just hair. there was a time i could do that because i had hella thick hair, now it's receding already. oh well.
