Master Don Juan
Hi friends! Jhonny here!
I’d like to ask your opinion on something I’ve observed.
Some of you already know this, but i'll keep it very short: after this woman remained fixated on me for over 10 years, even trying to seduce me in the 12th year by "dropping her handkerchief" and waiting for me to make a move, she is now suddenly very interested in her boyfriend again. That’s where things stood when we last spoke.
What’s changed?
He has gained status. For the past year, he has served as the president of a local soccer team in a small town of 5,000 inhabitants nearby, a purely nominal role, involving no actual financial investment, if not simbolic one.
As you well know, he possesses no redeeming qualities; he is simply a sadistic, malignant narcissist.
(That alone should tell you everything you need to know about why he’s "perfect" for the role.)
(controlling behaviour, managing people and keep them under his feet, public insult opportunity masked by the "good face" of the soccer team reputation, derision, calculated humiliations, Subtle sabotage, gaslighting, methodical devaluation, etc)
What surprises me is seeing her, the same woman who, around the time she has to become pregnant of her third child, had distanced herself from him and was pursuing other (attractive) men (myself included), now appearing "very" keen to be photographed with him in public, likely living a honeymoon phase.
(She claims her relationship with this (toxic) guy is "very healthy," and she seems, once again, deeply interested in him.)
It’s become clear to me that whenever a man on her radar experiences a spike in status, she completely detaches emotionally from her current partner.
(I haven’t noticed anything similar with other women, although I have seen other women respond to the status in a positive but more "quiet" way.)
She is capable of moving on to the other man, effectively erasing her entire 10-year life, including her relationship, their children, and everything else, as if it had never existed.
I know that women are attracted to status, money, and power. I also know that women, even good ones, often remain in toxic relationships with toxic men. This is because these men, through their manipulative tactics, whether conscious or unconscious, have created a "trauma bond." This destabilizes the woman’s brain, resulting in a relationship that is fueled by a toxic dynamic, much like the relationship between an addict and their drug.
That said, the core question of this post is: can we classify this specific woman behaviour as something uncommon, and so as "borderline" behavior, or is it simply the behavior of a "normal" woman?
What do you think?
