Is the overtaking of illegitimate over legitimate births a sign that the Patriarchy is dead?

I was reading this, and it got me concerned:

my opinion: To me, the whole meme of "legitimate" birth is tied into the the patriarchal institution of marriage, itself a way of men to be able to know that the spawn of their women is of their loins. Women having illegitimate births is first & foremost a disrespect of men in general.

yes and no. it's a sign that this stage of the patriarchy is currently dead. what the "patriarchy" actually entails is extraordinarily vague. in a sense, what you probably think of as the patriarchy is long dead, probably been dead since early after the internet really hit full swing. the true proper "patriarchy", ie; the permanency of western-liberal + capitalist ideology, is perhaps even strengthened because of this. replacing all the men in power, high paying jobs, etc, with women would still result in an absolute patriarchy. the patriarchy isn't who is in power, but how the power dynamic is operated/instituted. it is still the same game of domination, exploitation. so nothing really has changed, just that the pool of available men is going to keep getting smaller and smaller, and the pool of available women getting larger and larger (no pun intended, but yes, larger women, with no income, will be able to date much easier than say a 7.5 well off guy. 30 years ago that same guy could have bagged an 8-9 easy just simply because hes well off)
