Hello.

Is sleep required for building muscle? Of course it is, but how much is reequried? Is the more the better? I usually get around 4-5 hours depending on my course load and rarely I get 1 hour or less and 10 hours or more.

I'm going to try to get to bed around 12:00 AM every night from now on and wake up around 7:00 AM. That will give me 6.5 hours of sleep. Should that be enough? How much does this really matter?

usually i would try to get at most 6 hours if i can. maybe u can test urself and try to sleep 4 hours against 6-7 hours of sleep. tell us ur results if you dare :) i believe 6 hours is sufficient, i like to let my body just lock down and let my body takes its course of rebuilding and all that good stuff.

imo

80% diet 20% workout
60% diet 40% sleep hours

to get most potential out of ur gaining.

Rest allows your body to relax and transform. Get 6-7 hours of sleep everyday.

Sleep is very important, this is when your muscles grow!

You should be getting 8-9hours if possible, if not do the best you can to get some naps during the day.

You need sleep. More for your mind than your body though. Dont try and skimp on it too much if you can avoid it.
