You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

These rules trigger a woman's subconscious attraction switches. And you can start using them tonight.

I was reading this article that seems to lament the fact that man are now having "body image issues" like women. I had no idea that wanting to be in good shape and having a rugged physique is a sign of my "emotional imbalance".

My attitude is pretty much in line with this comment:

My teenage son wanted to look good, so... he worked out and ate right. Now he looks great, and feels great too. Not sure how this is a sociological problem.
BINGO!

Men should certainly want to be in shape, but I can understand how some young boys especially might suffer from some poor self esteem because they don't look a certain way. From the article:

"Of the boys who were highly concerned with their weight, about half were worried only about gaining more muscle, and approximately a third were concerned with both thinness and muscularity simultaneously."

Even here on SoSuave, there is a heavy message that if you are not a ripped guy with huge muscles, a six pack, and low body fat, then you are a lazy AFC wimp that women are not going to find attractive. Notice the emphasis on being thin and muscular at the same time.

It's good in many ways that there is peer pressure that provides motivation to work out and be in shape. But for younger boys especially, some of them may have to wait a little while to grow into their bodies - until their bodies are actually mature enough to look like men. Meanwhile, posts like "What every skinny guy should know" are telling them that if they are skinny, then they are undesireable.

Since men are fast losing their natural role as breadwinner/hunter/gatherers and protectors, it seems like in the modern world the way they look is becoming more and more important. As such, the newer generations of males especially are probably falling prey to body image issues as much as women are. And men have no "fat is beautiful" interest group lobbying for them, lol.

This kinda reminds me of the whole "non-controversy" over Fit Mom's statements a little while back. It appears where we've entered a bold new era in which anyone who tries to take some personal responsibility or makes an attempt at self-improvement is frowned upon or shamed.

It doesn't escape me that usually the biggest bytchers and moaners are those that have an acute aversion to getting off their OWN asss.

A friend, his wife, and I ended up at the local college bar last night for a hamburger{probably the best, cheapest burgers in town. RIGHT by the restrooms}. We decided to check the girls going in the bathroom for "do-ability" . We agreed to check the first 30 women going in... 18 of them were NOT something either one of us would want if they gave it away for free. While the guys were about{we weren't counting them} 80% slim or built, the girls were 60% unfuc&able.
