I have a friend who's daughter is 12 and was recently hospitalized for anorexia. Had she not gotten treatment, she would have died.

So, I get where this law is coming from. At the same time, I think it's a mental illness and I'm not sure how well any law will take care of a mental illness.

So, I can see both sides to the argument.

Exactly. It's a mental illness that likely existed before the days of photoshopped models. Even if past generations didn't have anorexia, women have always been obsessed with being beautiful. Some women take that obsession further than others.

As someone said earlier, I don't know Israel's constitution, but fortunately this type of thing wouldn't fly in the US. It does remind me of the days when the media was blaming rap, death metal and video games for violence.

As if violence didn't exist before rap, death metal and video games. Anyway, women will have body issues as long as they have estrogen flowing through them.

The majority of those who support the ban of skinny models couldnt give a fvck about the health of young girls, the only health they care of is their own since most of them are fat feminist pigs who simply cannot stand competition.
They are no different than the rabid afc who talk trash about the bad boy who run on his motorbike with ho helmet, its not an investment in health its simply a ego defence mechanism.

Banning skinny model is no different than banning the whole mr olympia world, they both take to the eccess what people find attractive in the opposite sex, a thin mody in women and a muscular one in men.
If something is wrong there are for sure other ways to solve it than stupid laws based on discussible moral hidden on health reasons.

And just to make things clear, the fact that skinny models would be out someday doesnt mean that you fat cvnts will stop being repulsive and an insult to the eyes and the heart, deal with it.

In the US this would be a restriction on speech. Not sure how it works in Israel.
Bingo. It would get thrown out by the court as a violation of your First Amendment right to free speech. Political speech especially can't be restricted by the government, and there are models in political ads, too.

But Israel and the rest of the world doesn't have the US Constution, which thanks to the Bill of Rights gives us a lot of freedoms that we tend to take for granted.

Whenever someone says that models should have an "average" body, I counter that you don't see chippendales with an "average" body either.
These people are show persons. They must stand out from the crowd. It's their job.
