Just another avenue for the webcam. This stuff exists in other forms, live YouTube channels, Twitch, and Live.me. Some people like shoveling money electronically just to get a reaction from the streamer.

For some people it's easier than being alone. One of the reasons I really recommend going "monk mode" for at least a year at least once in your life is to cultivate a sense of self. Understand how to enjoy your life alone. If you can't be happy alone then you will always enter relationships of any kind with some amount of co-dependence and when it comes to women, that has the potential to cause a lot of problems.

When I was monk mode for a straight year up until this summer, I balanced that by hanging with friends, family, and social events in my community.

Being around people and socializing when I wasn't buried in a textbook helped me snap out of all those hours spent in isolation at the library. I used Meetup too to find groups of people that hiked and did fun things together.

Mate, when Cyberpunk 2077 comes out 2 or so years from now, I think everyone is going to be into it I honestly think that if it's developed to the standard that the designers are hinting at, it's going to be the most revolutionary game in 15-20 years.

And I say that as someone that doesn't do the hype-train BS ever.

See, the girls here are clearly good at doing various things in Overwatch and so I don't see a problem with people paying for their help. It's like if you're playing Counter-Strike and you pay a pro CS player to teach you how to aim better for 2 hours.

It's still bizarre for people to pay them just because they're girls though.

It depends how you approach it. I did it for two years with the specific purpose of fixing my depression and anxiety and came out the other side a new man. The onus is on you to be productive and grow, otherwise you're not going "monk mode", you're just isolating yourself. I was a little rusty with women at the end but I had a much better attitude towards life and so overall it was still an improvement.

But part of the point is to understand how to be alone and not be lonely and depressed and that comes by facing it head on.
