I am a millennial and is this even possible in our society/generation? I am not trying to give ya'll a lecture but a quick back story on this man (yes he was real) Giacomo Casanova as many know it was pretty much a modern day Renaissance man, he got caught up with a lot of **** with the government, been imprisoned many times and almost got executed (so in a sense he has a reckless life always on the go) But he is mainly known for the countless women he has seduced and slept with. I have read Robert Green's book the Art of Seduction and in there one of the biggest theme behind "seduction" is allowing yourself to be vulnerable to the woman you are communicating with--almost as if you are actually falling in love. The reason why Casanova was soo damn successful was because he was HONEST and did not lie to women about his true intentions he also LISTENED to them as his target was the women who were damaged or lacking something in some way. I feel like it was significantly easier to seduce women back in his day (1700s) however today?? it is a whole different ballgame. With social media making us feel like we have to try harder when we don't and society promoting pornography/sex, hook up scene etc seducing women is now more challenging since women do not have to try harder (all they have to do is show up and men are all over them) especially with the millennials and the whole "you don't need a man/woman" attitude has completely changed the course of the game due to the games and lies we are playing.

With that being said how can the principals that Robert Green highlighted in his book and the means of which Casanova attracted women, be applied without coming off as needy, weak, desperate in today's society

Casanova was desired by all, involved with few, possessed by none. The one time he did fall actually in love it was with a woman who was not emotionally obtainable. She was like him in that way.

Humans are no different now than in his day. There is less construct to society perhaps and certainly more technology and ready access...but the nature of people is no different.

Casanova fulfilled fantasies. He would vanish before reality could set in. His reputation preceded him as the ultimate player.

If you want this you can do it just fine in today's social environs. But you are going to have to be supreme in your ability to read women and find where they lack and what they repress. This was Casanova's strength. He was a keen observer & master persuader. He was an entertainer. This kept him alive & got him what he wanted in life.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't easier in the days when women wore chastity belts, married as virgins, and thought they'd spend eternity in hell for having premarital sex.
