Is it illegal to tell people that "I will be on CNN" soon? and not specify any reason?

Is that illegal?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

It could be I am interviewed for an article on something.
It could be anything.

My question is, is saying that phrase illegal?

Yes or NO?

Please serious answers.

Ask a serious question, and get serious answers!

Your question is beyond silly (to not say stupid!) so you've got to elaborate on the subject a tiny bit more for you to get a propper response.

Otherwise people will either think you are a troll, or just plain dumb!

To sum it up:

Elaborate, or GTFO!

I think a vague statement like that isn't illegal per 1st amendment assuming you are in the US, it doesn't rise to the level of an exception of free speech. I think it is too vague and too hyperbolic to be considered a threat or false statement of fact. I'm not a lawyer though and you could risk being questioned by the police.

There was actually a recent Supreme Court case about a similar issue. The court said that lying to people and telling them you were a decorated war veteran is protected free speech under the First Amendment.

Do you say that when you are mad because I do that a lot.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

May warrent some criminal or civil action in the US if

- It was said in court under oath

- It was ordered by a judge for you to receive

- It was written as terms of a contract between you and another party and not delivered

- It was written by someone to you under oath (Notarized)

- If it was written to you by someone not under oath, small chance of it sticking but may not

If it was only said verbally, even in front of witnesses, good luck with that

I think as some people may "read between the lines" on a statement like that

Although not illegal to say, without being specific eg "I'm being interviewed"

Some people may think the worst and may report to the cops

But you haven't given the situation so not exactly sure how you said it or under what circumstances

I don't imagine that it is illegal, but you may raise some suspicion about you. Maybe even enough to be questioned, investigated, or for there to be a warrant, depending on the circumstances, and who it is reported to. I'm no lawyer though.
