Is it a good idea to get involved with Ancestry.com so to discover cheating wifey?

My family has been doing Ancestry.com DNA tests, and I am about to join. It seems that this is a very easy way to get kids' DNA tested ("it's part of our family tradition"), and of course find out if wifey has been cuckolding. And if wifey seems to give resistance to this, that would make it even more important to get the kids tested!

What if wifey was using birth control? If the kids are yours it doesn't mean she didn't cheat.

But if you think your wife has been cheating you may want to hire a private investigator.

It's complicated, but any DNA test you get on ancestry or like service is not going to be definitive. If you are mostly English with a spattering of other nationalities (like me British 75%, Ashkenazi 17%, Italian 5%, German and Norwegian >2%) and she is cheating with a guy that fits your profile. Plus if your kids are girls, the test results will be all over the place, since half their mothers DNA is lost. If you have boys, then you can DEFINITELY determine who your sons are since boys ALWAYS inherent ALL the "Y" chromosome DNA from you. Girls will be all over the place unless you pay for an expensive DNA analysis.

If you think your wife is cheating on you, there is a very good chance that she is. Trust your gut and like @AJ84 said just hire a PI.... Not that it matters, my ex was the ***** of Babylon when I was in Afghanistan, none of that mattered in divorce court. We've been divorced for 10 years now and I'm still paying for her BS mental heath treatments.... She'll just go to court and cry that she is sick and needs 'help', and the judge will make you help her.

I got my results back in, and it completely nailed my DNA matches with close family members, so it's not just broad portions of regions, but they can determine actual matches. Of course there seems to be someone listed as a 1st cousin that I haven't heard of (of course who still could be a cousin), so wifey would have to be extraordinarily lucky to be able to cuckold with a random person who happens to fit my DNA (or cuckold me with an actual close relative).

Would it bother you if a Dark horse Spanish guy had children with your girl. Haha. Look at the ancestry commercials a guy believed he had German ancestry for his entire life only to find out he was acutally Scottish and that he traded his laderhosen for a quilt.
