"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I found out a girl I was interested in had a boyfriend a month ago. I approached her, looking her in the eyes while being completely unphased and confident. I said, "Here's my number..." in a seductive voice and wrote down my number and told her to phone me when she's single. I wished her a good night and walked away. I have not seen her since and have cut all contact. (She had given me her number earlier, so I thought giving mine out couldn't be a bad idea.)

For about two weeks after this event, all of the women and younger girls were smiling at me. One guy who I rarely talk to gave me a huge smile in the gym. We happened to meet again later, talked for a few seconds about his workout, and then he told me to take care. (He even looked back at me as he walked away.) Weird for a guy who barely knows me. One of the oldest MILFs there even got flustered near me earlier this month. About a week ago, I was getting my gym card out and a 7.0 blonde smiled at me and said hello. I was a bit surprised, so I wasn't as suave as should've been, and she turned away from me. Thinking she was shy or simply wanted some attention, I walked away.

I don't like the idea that the girl I was into has let the whole gym know what's been going on. At first, I was feeling DJ, now I'm concerned that it's only going to ruin my chances with this girl.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

So there's gossip going around that your a player? I would consider that very good, they might say to their friends "Don't worry, I'll stay away from him." But she will want to find out why all the girls like you.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
