Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

My girlfriend who has been seeing me exclusively for a a few months now has decided she wants to audition for a play where she will be required to french kiss another guy. She says the kiss will mean nothing to her, and I believe her, but it's tearing me up inside having to potentially agree to this....and other plays with other guys.

I have made my concerns clear to her but she just accuses me of emotional blackmail.

I tried to persuade her to only audition for (lots) of other plays which don't invlolve this, but because she refuses to and back down on this, I see it as a choice she has to make between whether that play is more important or my feelings.

I am concerned because she just doesn't see this as an issue. She sees this as...well obviously I can kiss who ever i want....BECAUSE ITS IN A PLAY.....so it doesnt matter.

If I went to see this play and had to see her kissing this other guy on stage I think it wold kill me though, so I just dont know what to do.

I am so fond of her and I care for her so much I just dont know what to do

Am I being unreasonable?
What would you guys think?
What would you guys do?
Is this acceptable behaviour?

I have read nthe DJ bible. Am I looking at this from a totally un DJ point of view.

Is the DJ attitude just....ah f*ck it. THere are so many women out there...next the b*tch. I hope not. Is it, I have gotten in too deep too quick anyway.

Do you guys think there might be some underlying attitute where she is in a way choosing to put herself in a situation where she could kiss someone else and get away with it (because its in a play) because she is starting to get afraid of the committment and scared that if Im the last guy shes with she wont kiss anyone else.

I will note she is a virgin and has not kissed many guys before me. I mention this due if it might make some sense of the last paragraph. Please help

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Oh no, this is what ALL the hor actresses say "It's only acting".

Dump her for even thinking this shyt!! And she is not a virgin - virgins don't think like this!!She is trouble and she will destroy you emotionallly!!

Any woman who wants to be seen publicly kissing another dude and has a b/f is a hor -- you just don't know it yet ! She HAS THE HOR MINDSET!!

Do not get emotionallyattached to this girl!!!!!!! If she does the play then don't get mad -- just leave!!! In fact, leave her now!!

So nudity, porno, etc is OK because it is "only acting"?

I think women have the right to do what they want, but so do men. If she does what she wants, do what you want and DUMP HER.

Disrespect is growing as the chumps/symps allow themselves to be used as doormats...

Puerto Ricans are out of touch with the world.
You're emotionally attached to her, probably not a good idea. Its causing clout in your mind. Tell her how you feel, do it with confidence, but don't try and control her. Its her choice and if you tell her she can't then thats gonna cause tension. Tension is bad. Don't worry about this. Let her make her own decision.

No, it is just that we are in sync with the rhythmn of truth and are in keeping with our natures as men!!

There is a level of respect and decorum expected when a girl is committed to a guy and for thousands of years women would have never attempted to do shyt like this because they would have been smitten or killed!! But in this modern age men love hors and have lost their manhood in exchange for a whiff of the pvssy!!! Today, men are the pvssies!!

If you study history you will observe that all of the actresses who were in theater/movies are the hors of society!!! This is known and that is why Hollywood is filled with hors and homos today!!

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Yeah, this is pretty disrespectful - especially as she 'doesn't consider it an issue'.

If she was apologetic about it or at least a little reluctant to do it, I would probably let it slide. But the fact that she doesn't appear to give a sh*t (from what youve said anyways) suggests that she doesn't really care too much for your feelings.

The choice is yours, but personally I would consider NEXTing her. But if not, at least please try not to get too emotionally attached to her (not easy I know)

I have to respectfully disagree with everybody in this thread.

It's just a d*mn play, for Christ's sake. When two actors kiss on stage, they do what is called a "stage kiss", meaning there is no tongue involved. It's called *acting*.

You need to get some *confidence* in yourself, not to mention some *maturity*.

OK, well consider the examples of the following : Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones (amongst many others I'm sure).

They first met by 'playing' on-screen lovers, as a result they became more intimate and got used to each other's touch and probably enjoyed making out/having sex with each other. The result? They are now lovers for real.

A direct result of merely 'acting'.

“The 22 Psychological Triggers That Make Women Chase You… Starting Tonight”

Forget the cash, the cars, and the chiseled jawlines. Female desire operates on a completely different frequency. Primal. Subconscious. Triggers that bypass her logic and hit her on a gut level. Most guys are totally blind to them.

I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Then I decoded the psychology behind what actually makes women tick. 22 hard rules.  Subtle behavioral shifts that rewired my entire reality. The anxiety evaporated. Women started leaning in. Investing. Chasing.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
It's a f**king play.

Stop being so insecure.

On the flipside, I'd say tongue is going a bit far. If the play calls for a passionate kiss, it can be accomplished without the tongues getting involved. Tell her to put enough behind it to sell it and nothing more. And go watch the play one night...tell her you're coming, but don't tell her WHICH night. :p

And if you catch her hanging out with the guy beyond the context of the play, THEN, as PRL said, "dump the h0r".

But seriously, do you think Brad Pitt would flip out if Angelina Jolie had to do a love scene?

Look, there's always that possibilty, but obviously he has very little control over what she does. I'm assuming she enjoys acting, so there will probably be many plays in the future where she will have to kiss another actor. He can be a man about it, and be confident that she won't leave him.

Or he can act like an insecure little p*ssy and break up with her before she even gets a chance to prove to him that he's got nothing to worry about.

And I can't believe we're even discussing this. I thought this topic was a joke at first.

What squirrels said was what I was trying to figure out -- sure, she needs to act like she's in love with the guy (and that's not cheating), but do the stage directions say "French kiss"? There's no "acting" kiss?

Yes, there is an "acting" kiss. It's called a "stage" kiss, as I've mentioned above.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

True, he has the choice to react one way or the other, but for me personally I wouldn't want to be in the situation in the first place. Would you willingly go along to watch your girlfriend kissing another man?!? Real or not, it still gotta hurt.

A few years ago I had a girlfriend that was in a play and had to kiss another actor. I should mention that the dude was gay, so maybe that's why it didn't bother me so much. :) But even if he was straight, I honestly don't think it would've bothered me. She reassured me that it was just a play and nothing more. Plus, I was confident enough to know she wouldn't leave me for another guy.

Hey

I really appreciate all the feed back guys. I think I shall concede on *some" level my reaction was a little insecure...and immature.

At the same time you guys can of course understand the initial pain of having to contend with your girlfriend kissing someone else, albeit on stage.

Squirrels, I have always liked your advice. It seems sensible and down to earth.

She has never really given any reason to doubt her, so I shouldnt start now

Thank you

Doubt can be useful at times...blind trust can be a painful experience.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
