It seems that when I talk to a girl I have the most success when my first line is something that could get me slapped. I don't know how guys say something casual (like "do you come here often?") and get numbers, that has never worked for me. And I find that the first line is so important. I can see them closing when I say something casual and their boyfriend defenses going up. And I can see them open up when I say something offensive. When I say something offensive it's no longer an uphill battle.

Why is this? My explanation is girls like a man who has an edge and a risk taker and saying something that could get you slapped is the ultimate risk? I don't know I am just brainstorming, maybe it sounds offensive to me but it's not. Like this weekend I saw this milf getting out of an uber and I told her "I saw your panties when you were getting out of the car" I expected her to say "ew get away from me you weirdo" and walk away but I could see her instantly open up.

What's the difference between ballsy and offensive?

I've actually tried to get women who won't shut up to leave me alone by saying something offensive, only to have them warm up to me even more.

There's some merit to this. A couple of weeks ago, I told a girl who was wearing one of those half shirts showing her mid drift that I liked her shirt and it makes want to take it off her.

She said just as long as you promise not to give it back for a while, without batting an eye.

We had a flirty conversation and she gave me her number but never responded to my first text, so there's that.

I suppose that could work for the right woman but in my opinion most women won't text you after that because you didn't qualify her. She is thinking this guy is telling 100 other women the same thing. I used to do the same until I figured what's missing. if you're having trouble seeing this, imagine you go to a strip club and the stripper says you're so handsome. you're thinking give me a break you're telling 100 other men the same thing.
also when you say that you come off too eager. my line has sexual connotations to it without coming off as too eager.
