Irish DJ-ing just doesnt work!

Hey all,

I come to you frustrated and annoyed!

I live in ireland (unfortunately ) and ive been applying my dj techniques for the past 6-7 months with a limited amount of success and ive come to a conclusion:

DJ-ing in ireland is nearly impossible!

I think its because of two factors:

1) Guys here are naturally strong willed and dont take a lot of crap from girls.

2) Girls here are also strong willed and will stand up for themselves or hit back at you when you come out with a C+F line or a neghit.

Id love to try out these techniques in stateside/austrailia and see what the difference is. I think girls in ireland are very wise when it comes to trying to get in their pants and theyre much more inclined to say no!

No offense, but i think the girls in the us/canada etc would be much easier to pull. and theyre nicer!! lucky you guys!

The application of DJ techniques outside the US crops up occasionally but nobody seems to be able to shed much light on it, possibly because of the geographic isolation of our American cousins.

Irish women seem to be pretty much like British women in that they won't take kindly to bullsh*t. If you tried any kind of speed seduction on a British woman you would end up with a doctor marten's boot in your groin.

Basically I think the upfront cold approaches probably don't work very well outside the US. My experience of American women is that they are initially very open and receptive to a 'spiel' whereas British and Irish women aren't, they detect bullsh*t more easily.

I think you have to adapt the game to match the pitch. The three basic rules of confidence, control and challenge probably work anywhere, but the more cautious and reserved women outside the US tend to prefer meeting men in a situation of trust, ie introduced to them by someone else, rather than just being chatted up.

Greasy foreigners in London do cold approaches and get blown out all the time - I see it happen a lot.

To tell you the truth, that is just a stereotype. I used to think Alot of Irish people had red hair, freckles and pale skin. Only a few have this. Most Irish tend to have brown, dark brown or even jet black hair, light colored eyes and pale skin. The fair skin part is correct.
