"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

the girl is this girl i get along with real well whos in a few of my classes, we been rollin alot together (leavin class at the same time to chill, meeting after classes, showin up ealry to our classes so we have time to talk) the last few days so today i got her # and asked her what she was doin this weekend. She got nothing so i told her we would do something, i would call her etc.. So I was tryin to think of something to do with her and then i got a call from one of my boys who goes to a school 2 hours away, he wants me to come up, party, and spend the night. I wanna call her up and see if she wants to come but my hesitation is that a trip might scare her off (tho i have good confidence she would agree to come) but its like the long weekend on seinfield, maybe im not seeing how bad an idea this is.

opinions? Too soon for a trip together? does it really matter?

for the record my intentions with this particular girl are more than just screwin.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Hurry, slowly

My take on this one, is that if you want to give yourself a good chance for success as you want more than a fling, hurry but slowly.

That is, sometimes when you want success, it is better to take your time. Here, you need to progressively to get her to desire you. If you go too fast, you might look desperate and needy. Girls don't like needy guys.

I suggest that you let her know that you are going out of town for a sleepover with a friend, ..., so that you then show her that you are «transparent». However, do not ask her to join you. Let her think about you at the party, ..., get her desire to know you and your attraction up. By not asking her to accompany you, you are really acquiring THE power in this budding relationship.

Have fun at the party.

Well 2 options I see:

1) ask her to come along but come back the same night.
2) don't ask her to come along and ask her to do something else.

I'm leaning towards 2)

bit of a tricky one

a weekend away is a bit much for a '1st date'

ok the downsides here are you set something up with her for the weekend but as yet its unknown and you are going to blow her off to head out of town to hang out with your friends

you could always go ****y and funny and say hey look i'm sorry i forgot that i'm heading out of town to my friends place where he has these huge really cool parties , from there she could be disappointed , she could say no probs how about we catch up next week , or thats really cool i would love to go to a cool party
think carefully through the scenario before ouc all her and call her ASAP so to give plenty to notice as last minute cancels sh1t people

on 2nd thoughts dont even say sorry , go the real ****y and funny and say that your friends are having the real cool party but its out of town and overnight and i dunno wether its a good idea for you to be spending the night with me just yet as we hardly know eah other

it all depends on what the raport is between you too and how you can talk and the tone of your voice as to what you say

my input for future meetings would be you set up the meeting when you are talking face to face and you have your plans already in your head

what are you up to this weekend ??

oh nothing , what about you ?

thinking about heading and seeing that x new movie , how about you come along ?

yeh sounds cool ,

ok how about me meet at x place at x time ,

then everything is set and you dont need to think or make another call , have a couple of options in your head so that if she has something on or has already seem the movie you can go plan B

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
