International Careers

So I'm seriously thinking about finding a career job (not teaching english though, but I wouldn't rule it out if all else fails) overseas. Aside from a few job sites, another method would be to get into a big global company and then work your ass off to land an internal job else where. Anyone else have experiences landing a career/job overseas? How did you go about it?

I feel I should get some traveling done while I"m still young and don't have any dependents (even though I"m an avid saver). This could be a refreshing change that I really need for myself. Also feel free to share your experiences living a different lifestyle while abroad. Did it take a long time to adjust?
