Interesting article about the pickiness of educated black women

I found this especially interesting as educated black women have all the demographic characteristics working against them - i.e., more women than men go to college (especially in the black community), so many black men in jail, or dead from gang violence, etc. Yet just like women everywhere, they blow off men for any number of stupid reasons, but complain in the end "there are no good men".

This is actually a VERY good point that a lot of women don't understand.

Why can't the Sex in the City girls find a good man? Because they aren't good women.

In mating, like attracts like, and typically douche bags end up with douche bags.

I've seen it said before on this site: if you want to attract a quality partner, you have to be a quality partner yourself.

Women date up. They would rather go without then date a man who she considers lower status. She may **** the odd one, but she wont stick around for long.

Speaking from experience, the thing with "well-to-do" black women is that they are very lifestyle-oriented. They like to be treated a certain way and have a different concept of a quality man than your average white girl.

If you live in a major city where there is a large percentage of blacks you know that, in general, they are very into stuff. Especially the women. Since there isnt an abundance of educated, successful black women in America (relative to whites), they do feel very entitled to a certain type of man---namely one with noticeable status or wealth. A black woman will not trade down in lifestyle, especially one who has tasted the high life.

This is my take on it, from observation and speaking with a few.
