It is very difficult to find a person that is comfortable in their own skin. A lot of men are so inherently insecure so that they cant have genuine friendships. So lets give women a break. Finding a man ( or woman) that is well adjusted is difficult.
I am middle aged and 50% of my small friend group are great. Ive known these guys since I was in my early 20s. Many are richer than me, cooler than me, have families etc but I genuinely love them. They inspire me and I would do anything for them.
The other 50% are insecure and are snakes in the grass.
I really don't have much to be envious about but some people still find a way to secretly envy you. The envy leaks out in weird ways. You can tell when someone is not really your friend. Its a palpable ackwardness in the interactions.
I understand why women don't respect men. Its because we are not much better than women.
