"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Anyone else gotten indifferent to compliments?

Tonight at work had some older married lady tell me I should model and that I had a very young looking handsome face.

I told her nah. I'm not the modeling type and changed the subject.

I've had a lot of compliments from various older women on my shirts, ties etc. saying "Hey Handsome" etc. (Though all of them know me already)

Do any of you get compliments pretty regularly and after a while become indifferent to them? IMO when it comes from older or married women I take them with a grain of salt.

Hell even single chicks that compliment you don't mean much as they'll look for you to be "complete" in their minds off whatever mental checklist they have.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I used to be like this... as well as not giving them back, accepting gratitude, receiving favors, etc, and instead pining for and seeking the approval of those who weren't interested, didn't accept or like me, put me down, etc, and I'd just take it and go back for more abuse and neglect... This is from both genders, btw.

Make sure it's not just immunity or ego, but that you're not actually suffering from low self-esteem, feel undeserving of this kind of treatment, aren't seeking the approval of those who don't like or appreciate you (ie, needing to be worshipped by EVERYONE - including guys), etc. This is a dangerous path to go down, and how you get caught up in bad people.

There was a great article on this, and how this type of behavior attracts users, but can't seem to find it. :cuss:

Never gets old for me, and yes, believe it or not, I still get them from time to time. I've always viewed them as affirmations that I've been doing something right.

Nah it's not low self esteem lol. It almost becomes like how some chicks constantly get compliments and it gets old for them after a while.

Like a chick who get's told by every dude she's beautiful, hot etc. After a while the same chick is like"Ok that's great."

Compliments are great but it's almost like getting them doesn't stop the game playing etc. which in all honest gets old too. Which brings up my other thread of almost becoming indifferent to if chicks like you or not as you don't feel like jumping through hoops, playing guessing games etc. as you realize you've got your own life and more important sh1t to do than do whatever the latest retarded mating dance is.

I've noticed many girls are just the type that they go around complimenting people. Or they may just compliment men, as a kind of reverse attention ho type of thing. A lot of the time I will get a compliment, but I know the girl, and I know that she will find some compliment to give any guy that is around her. So it's hard to put too much stock in it.

That said, a simple "thank you" is a proper response. Although I guess the PUA geniuses around here would prefer to turn it into some sort of C&F opportunity.
