"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Dear Lone Ranger,
Well a few No,Nos....I never used to date Teachers, the staff Room Culture is so feminist they are really *****es and used to kicking their Shvt around....Women amongst Children and Children amongst women....Also Women of 35 always been single, they are really, really set in their ways and dry and shrivelled, unless they have had serial relationships....
This makes perfect sense. I'm staying away from teachers from now on.

Most of the people on my mothers side of the family are teachers and I see what you mean.

I am learning a lot from this idiot woman without enrolling in her class!!

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

So you are never dating

1. teachers
2. independent women
3. ect ect

Who ARE you dating?

I mean really, you actually have to have a selection to be so selective. And I don't think you do.

Stop whining about the women in your area, and next the area itself. Someone told you before to move. MOVE, b!tch, get out the way, get out the way!

I've already met someone else and we will be getting together soon. :) She has the makings of a FB and VERY interested in me.

Can't move until I pay off my credit card. Business is slow so that will take a while. banks will not give me a house loan because of that debt and I am self employed.

Until then I am staying away from teachers and AW on line. :D

At 35 you're SUPPOSED to be independent. It should be a given that you are established in a career, on your own and not living in mom's basement. sheesh.

Which is why when a woman says she's "Independent" it has really nothing to do with financial independence and really means she has some issues and a stick up her ass as previously explained.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

She said the guy who she was talking to before me was "chased away" by her honesty and was upfront saying that if I was looking for a "bed pal by the third date" I'd best look somewhere else.
I have long noticed that ONLY women are found to be "too honest." It's actually one of my pet peeves, when people spin a vice as if it's a virtue. Of course, obviously, it's not honesty but abrasiveness, disrespect, rudeness, and vulgarity. We don't really see this behavior out of men because when men do it they get into fist fights.

This absolutely true. I have been married to a teacher and had LTRs with two others . In the first case we did not get divorced so much as I got EXPELLED. Lol..
The other two women were just as Scara said. They treated eveyone like they treated their students. Condescending, self important and controlling royal pains in the azz. They were so full of their own "wisdom" that they could never ever negotiate any difficulties beteen us. They just wanted to give me a detention instead. Ha ha !
Royal feminist pains, indeed..

Hit it on the head.

Women tend to spin the facts to convince themselves and others that when they fail to get a man, it's because men are intimidated and scared away by their shining virtues: honesty, independence, strength, intelligence, successes, popularity etc. Narcissism, as we call it.

Men tend to do the opposite: they convince themselves that it must be due to one of their flaws - not tall or good-looking, not rich, not famous, not successful, not smart, not the right age, not the right race etc. - that they fail to get some woman. Plenty of examples on this very forum.

You needed to escalate and Meet this person quickly. You have to push prod and build attraction; then strike while the Iron is hot. Find out her interest level and drop her if it's not where it needs to be. You have to lead and "power through" an interaction with a woman on the Internet so that what happened to you doesn't HAPPEN to you.

Why did it take so long to get this thing in motion? She did not dump you. You just exchanged a few emails and talked for a few minutes. Don't focus on a singular opportunity. Play a numbers game. Stay in motion and move on at the first sign of things going south. I am sure that there were many hints in those first emails that her attraction wasn't there.
This is correct. It's just trade a few emails, ask to meet up, and that's it. You got way too bogged down in trading email with her. If she declines or hedges, move on.

I know from your past posts that you've got limited options as a result of your geographic situation - but - you must not act like you've got limited options. Otherwise, failure is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
