Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

In the future it's certainly possible another type of supersonic jet may be used for commercial use but I imagine that's quite some ways down the line.

There are however several new projects underway to allow supersonic civilian travel, some of which are closer to launch than people think. A lot of the projects are working on private business jets though, not public airliners.
As you can see, they already have a private super sonic jet operational.
Its just a matter of time where commercial airliners will have a similar design as these new jets.

OP- Supersonic commercial flight is off the table for the foreseeable future. I think the A380 is where things are going. Trying to pack as many people into one tin can as possible.
