In need of motivation

As many can tell, this is my first post on this site. I've been browsing the material since the DJ Bible was in the works. I'm hoping some of you can help light a fire for me again to get back into lifting.

I'll give everyone a short summary of why I lost my fire. I was seeing this female for a while and got her pregnant. It was definitely unexpected, but I was still excited. The girl and her family kept pressuring me to marry her, which I repeatedly refused to do and they talked her into getting an abortion behind my back and then come to me asking for half of the costs. Naturally, I was devastated and extremely angry that she did that all because I wouldn't marry her. It's left a bad taste in my mouth towards females, so I've been in chill mode for a while and can't make myself get back into my lifting routine.

Previously, I was hitting the gym around 4:30 AM before going to work. Now, I've also started back dipping which I had been off of for several months (I know that will hinder my progress until I can quit). This ended up longer than I intended. Any help / motivation would be greatly appreciated!

If the thought of knowing that you live a higher quality life isn't enough for you then I don't know what is. Think about,when you really exercise & diet ALOT can change; you become more healthy,you live longer,you become stronger & more muscular. If that isn't gonna get you to lift I dont know what will.

You never lost it. Its just weak. Like a campfire. It burns out but there is still plenty of heat from the embers. Just because you don't see the fire doesn't mean its still there. Its underground. All it needs is a little time and a little fuel.

You have to control your emotions. This is something that is obviously still bothering you. Why do you let it?

You're not a chick at the mercy of your feelings. You're better than this. Control them or they control you.

You need to shut the fvck up. Stop thinking. Thinking is only used when you plan. Once you have set a methid of evecution, DO IT. That's all.

You don't need motivation. You need to DO.


There are plenty of reasons why. Pick one. Make a plan of attack, and execute it. Make it a habit.

That's it.

It's hard to keep control when your emotions are behind the wheel. It will take time, but you WILL get over it.

As for the motivation. I've always told myself that anyone who seeks motivation is doomed from the start. It's in you. You need to find it. No one can make you want to go to the gym. You need to set realistic goals and dedicate yourself to them. You must not only want the end result, but the journey itself aswell.

This does it for me: I think in terms of my own reality.



Thinking about 100 different ways a girl might hurt you is not my reality, it is my insecurity. Further more, I dont need to think about that, and about all the sh1t witted come backs for every way the b1tch can hurt me. Instead, I say fvck it, get everything out of my head and focus on here and now, focus my eyes in front of me, tighten my face muscles, go put on some coffee and do what has to be done.

Day dreaming is what kills it, aka mental mastrubation. It makes you want to lay on the couch, cuddle up with a pillow, close your eyes and feel fuzzy.



Doing what has to be done is by no means a horrible thing. You have to be doing it in the here and now, mental mastrubation aside, focus is on yourself.









There is also physical part to this. The more tired you get, the easier for your brain to start jerking off. The next day starts in the evening. You must get 7 to 8 hours of sleep. Waking up wont be easy, as while you sleep your mind is jerking off, so I go through a routine, turn off the alarm, go take a piss, etc..





Reframe what happened. Think of this as you were sooo good and wanted, that a girl had to steal your sperm and get pregnant, so that she can keep you.. That is a bad quality, inferiour to the mother of your child. She even prove it by getting an abortion when she knew her little routine would not get you to her.. Let the loosers front on this, you already know you're good, you had a b1tch go crazy for you.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Thanks for the input. I think the female was just hurt because she realized I was only out for one thing. Unfortunately for her, I refused to let her get close to me (except for good times). I've been doing better with my workout regime lately, nothing like in the past but I'm taking strides. Never hurts to hear others bust your chops to help get you back in line. Thanks!

It's kind of like Call_Me_Daddy said.... DO IT.

Sometimes you just have to do it, dont think about it, and get in there, and lift like there is no tomorrow.

Maybe people like Jay Cutler want to beat Ronnie AGAIN, or Ronnie wants to be bigger. Sure that's what motivates them... Or maybe the roids ;) but the point is, when I go into the gym, sure I have my music that gets me pumped, and my reasons WHY I lift, but I dont think about them all the time.

All I think about is... It's X time and time to lift. I go in with headphones on, bust out the reps and sets, and leave.

There are too many people that get to thinking when they get in the gym it screws things up. You think about a girl that dumped you, and your all ready to go, then you realized you really loved her, you get sad, and then... Your workout from then on is all FCUKED UP! that little moment in the brain did you in. Now maybe you can press forward and find that extra pissy song on your MP3 player, but you still may think, and lose all focus.

What ever the case may be, just find what works and do it. You hear people that whine about WHY they dont like to go to the gym, and then they do, but whine again, and THOSE people will always have a sucky physique and never get anywhere. Just dont be one of them.

Your problems you listed do suck man, and you just have to phase it out somehow and let GYM TIME be YOUR time, and that's it. Like going to bed and having no dreams. Your just asleep, and nothing has entered the mind. You have to do that when you hit the gym too. Even if you have to zone out for a few minutes before you go.

I set my alarm and get up. There's no "do i want to go" or "am i too tired to go" or "my pinky is still sore from monday so i'll stay in bed." The decision was made long ago. If i set the alarm obviously i intended to get up and lift some fvcking weights and the new girly mrRuckus has no say in the matter because masculine mrRuckus already freakin decided what the rules were before he was made into a wimp by his gf/ex/whatever.

You don't need motivation. You need to not to be a girl.

Have you ever read those Animal ads in the magazines? This sounds like one. You should see if they will put that in the next issue or on their site. :)

Man, there's just one thing you need to know. Okay, and that's what you want. Look at this pic everyday. And you'll be pumped to goto the gym. You'll be pretty happy when hot chicks are graiting cheese on your rock hard abs.
