Why respond at all? You weren’t dating her but she obviously is pissed that you were talking to another girl. That’s not on you, that’s on her but in any case she made it pretty clear to buzz off. She wanted some exclusivity or something from you from the start which is unrealistic. You’re single, you’re talking to other girls so what’s the point of replying to one who doesn’t want you to do that when you’re not even dating her?
What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
