I could really use some advice on this. So there's this girl that thinks that I owe her money to repair her car for damages to it that she alleges are my fault. At the time of the event, she did not want to call the police, nor exchange insurance info or even contact any insurance companies. Does anybody have some insight on this?

This will be a matter of applicable laws in you jurisdiction first and foremost, but as a general principle, people who leave the scene of a minor accident with no injuries without any agreements in place as to paying for various repairs are left to their own devices and their own insurance.

Turning to ethical obligations, did you admit fault or agree to pay? If not, forget she's a woman and do what any reasonable person would do to a man in this situation, tell them to shove it and pay for their own repairs.

The burden of proof is on her. That's the point of the police report - it establishes fault. Maybe she had other reasons for not wanting to call the police - like worrying there might be a warrant out for her arrest. At a minimum, it sounds like she wants money from you without her insurance company knowing she was in a wreck, which I'm sure is at least a violation of her insurance policy and possibly even fraud.

She didn't have car insurance.

You should always call the police after an accident so they can create a report and verify insurance cards... because some people even carry fake or expired cards. It is illegal to withhold your car insurance info from the other driver if requested. She has nothing on you. Tell her next time she should have car insurance and p1ss off.

Maybe she didn't have car insurance at the time. How is she contacting you? Phone? Email? Does she know your name? It sounds like you do not owe her anything, it is just a matter of teller her to p1ss off.

She lives a few apartments down from me so I am a little worried that if I tell her to shove it she may try to **** with my car. She has been contacting me by phone and email. I've been ignoring her for the most part, but I'm definitely going to tell her to fvck off. I just wanted to make sure that wasn't stupid to do. Now I just need to think of something to say to her so she just doesn't even try to pester me for money. I think I'll just tell her I'm not responsible for the damages and like Bible Belt said she was the one that didn't want to call the police or insurance companies, not me, so she can shove that estimate right up her ass.

That sucks she lives so close but I would put money on her not having car insurance at the time. Press her on why she didn't want to exchange insurance info or call the police to the scene(because they would have found out she wasn't insured).
